Hmm... its an addictive and pleasant little game. Very laid back. There's not much content right now and its easy to play through all the content in the game so far. The graphics are very nice and the gameplay is very forgiving. There's clearly a lot of possibilities with this game and I'm looking forward to see how it fills out. I like the RPG elements in it with the 'companion' system it uses, this is something that could easily be built upon and go far in storytelling. I also like the "zone" system where you don't have to plunk down each and every home but just give the simmies an area they can build in and they do it themselves.
The only downside is that it isn't easy to see what your villagers need. You have to click on the zones and each home to find out. But since the game is very forgiving, it doesn't seem to punish you for not having enough stuff, the homes just won't progress and develop further.
Anyway, I don't regret buying this and supporting the creators. I hope they keep developing the game for some time to come, its interesting. I'll be following this one!

I love the art style and music. The pace of progression feels good, and I'm proud of the city I could create.
I also really like the free-form district style of city building. Other city builders I've played in the past that have used the typical grid system have been stressful for me when I end up with too little space for an advanced building I could never have planned for. Knowing exactly how many plots a building is going to take up is a great mechanic.

Very interesting city builder with a cool district painting aspect. You’ll lay districts out, assign service buildings, then try to satisfy all their population’s needs. You have to keep them happy of course to advance them to the next economy tier. The trick is only a couple service buildings can be placed in each district, so you have to think ahead and pay attention. Laying out fields and placing production buildings works the same way. Those buildings have different requirements, so you can’t just put them anywhere. One may need a market and a hospital, while another needs a church and a well.
Graphics are really good, so much that I often find myself just slowing down the game to zoom in and appreciate the art and detail. Only critique I can give here is more detail showing what’s going on inside the districts and various buildings.
Two things; this game is short, and by short I mean 6 hours and I already hit the max economy tier. It’s great, there just needs to be a lot more of it.
Second thing, why can I build a giant wheat field with 19 sections, but it only fits one windmill? This to me is just strange design. I can understand a limit sure, but one in a field that big? Come on! At least tie the max number to the size of the field district. Overall very solid thumbs up.

I read the reviews, watched the videos and I was hopeful this would be a fun game, relaxing. Too much seems to be "done" automatically for you, which leaves you to simply read the static dialog and click a button only to sit back and watch... which would be quite okay for a simple relaxing game. For me the character and building graphics are a huge let-down. I'm very fussy about the visuals in a game and the smoothness of game-play interactions. The "companions" are like towering giants compared to the NPC people running about doing stuff --- so this really grates. It really detracts from my sense of enjoyment. Maybe these aspects will improve in future development. As it was, I couldn't even stomach finishing the tutorial. Requesting a refund, but to be fair I will take another look if/when it reaches "full" release.

Great game, very fun so far! I love the balance of being able to customize the size and shape of my districts while still having that element of resource/placement management that makes a good city builder. The only thing that was slightly disappointing was the inability to edit the districts once they are placed, so i would love to see some options for this in the future. I also had a repetitive issue with losing radius on buildings like wells and churches when i removed and replaced districts that were once in range of these services before rebuilding, but I'm unsure if this was a bug or just user error. Overall very promising, will be returning for updates in the future.

Obviously a very technically impressive take on CityBuilders. I love the way the organic shapes you loosely draw are transformed into organized civilization.
It's not just a game for people familiar with City Builders. The industry/utility zones seem to guide you naturally into making satisfying, beautiful cities.
The art style reminds me of Black & White 2, which is a compliment and also highlights that I think it could be more visually satisfying to play/screenshot & share.
The backend that the city building must use seems impressive. I wonder if the game would benefit from equally clever graphics engine optimizations and visual improvements. The lighting never feels dramatic enough to really pull you into the scenes you build. The now lower-end PC I have struggles to keep up with 30 fps even on the lowest settings 1080p.
Those criticisms/suggestions aren't nearly enough to keep me from recommending the game though. It's genuinely fun to play and for the time I've gotten out of it so far, I think it's very fairly priced without going on sale.

So far so good for me.
A cute fairly fun city builder. The 2 things that stand out to me (and that make me enjoy it more than most city builders) are
1, the fact that not every building requires supplies to function. A big problem with games like this is trying to balance all the production buildings so your not out of-overstocking supplies. Makes end game a nightmare.
And 2, you create districts and add building in later with people moving into open plots. So if later you find yourself needing to put a school or something in an area you only have to add it in instead of destroying another building or completely remaking an area.

Pretty good. Very similar to Foundation but with less emphasis on logistics.
I like how the district system and the overall mechanics guide you to naturally make nicer looking cities, and the cities can look pretty nice! Although, I find it unfortunate that the mechanics encourage you to upgrade every single house. One of the interesting parts of Anno and Foundation is that you need to keep lower level housing in your city, making for more variety overall and more distincts neighbourhoods all over the map.
My current wishes are 1) being able to replace a building in a district instead of deleting the entire bit it's on, 2) planting back trees (the potted trees are not quite what I'm looking for here) and 3) more fancy buildings to plop around but that should be coming later.

Quite possibly the most relaxing city builder in existence. Graphically charming, audibly beautiful, and just enough tactical placements to get you thinking without it becoming stressful. I look forward to future updates.
I would love to see a first person mode, just to see what a villager sees on their daily activities.
