as a horse game lover this game tears me two ways i saw this because it has amazing horse movements and animations that being said it also has good graphics better than these kiddish horse games witch i really do not care for and has great potential and concept but for it being 25 bucks for only 3 horse colors really bums me even upsets me because im expecting more for a 25 buck game cant even run this with a 16gb with 3.6ghz pc still cant run this game properly and i can play avatar smoothly really really disapointed. i hope this game adds more coats and colors for your horse soon otherwise im getting a refund . NOT EVEN WORTH THE ON SALE PRICE. also it is poorly optimized cant run this crap unless you have a high end pc thanks for telling me you dont want a lot of players on your game fix the optimization on it and maybe it would be worth but even at that m pretty damn disapointed for 25 bucks you get 3 COLORS , dont care about the graphics or story lne when its soley supposed to be about horse and you have only 3 colors wow thanks now i want a refund.

This game is what every adult player has wanted for years. Intense storyline with mystery/horror vibes. I cannot wait for more to be released. Since I'm a mom, I feel it's important to note that this is NOT a kids game. There is profanity and fear inducing moments.

This is an EA game from an indie developer. The story so far is very well written but the cut scenes are still being worked on. If you go in with the expectation that the game is still in early development then this is an amazing game. If you go in expecting it to be mostly built out, then you will be disappointed.
I personally love investing in these EA games and watching them evolve over time. If you also want to invest in a new developer, then this is a good deal.
I enjoy that it plays a lot like Star Stable Online but has an adult concept. As other reviews have stated, this is NOT a children's game. The environment is fantastically designed and I love just casually riding from weekly quest location to weekly quest location and enjoying the views. I also enjoy that you have quite a few options for activities outside of the main story quests right now, as there are only a few chapters currently available. In addition to the Weekly Quests there are scenic rides which are separate maps where you can go and enjoy the fantastic environments.
The main downside, for me, is that this is a mystery MMO game with horses as the vehicle. Yes, it is a horse game but the riding mechanics are set and drive, not so much a simulation of horsemanship. I still enjoy going on trail rides in game and enjoying the scenery but would like more of a simulation of riding, such as have the horse spook, needing to adjust stride length when jumping, etc.
In conclusion, this is an EA from an indie developer and they put it on the market to be able to fund continuing development. Go in with the expectation that it is not complete but it is receiving regular updates.

For now this game is soo broken... It have a lot of potential but Early Acces like this should not be on steam yet. (AT LEAST FREE or not that expensive, cause its even broken too much for an early access)
- Some outfits are glitching thru other parts of the wardrobe.
- a few places on the map are haveing a lot graphic issues. ( pixels, missing textures, glitching textures. etc)
- If you're not gonna play game for a longer time, you're gonna get first cutscene, from beggining of the game??? (when you arrive at the island)
- Even on first quest theres no actual cutscenes. most of them are just concept drawings.
- sometimes when you're exploreing and you're gonna ride thru a forest you can easily stuck, on ANYTHING: rocks, even INVISIBLE COLLIDERS??? - that only restarting whole game will help, and you're gonna get FIRST CUTSCENE FROM BEGGINNING OF THE GAME AGAIN
For now, i do not recomend this game, as a player who LOVES open worlds, horses and exploreing.
This Early Acces is looking like a game made in a week with A LOT OF BUGGS.
For the price you're paying now you just get 2 hrs of an gameplay, that u cannot pause, beacause when you're gonna log out its about to break the game.
Wait till they gonna relase fixing updates or final game // for now, its not worth it :(

The over all concept and story of this game is unique and interesting.. a horse centred game with a horror/mystery plot? yes PLEASE! and differentiates this title from so many others - It's a horse game for adults, and finally we have one, this could easily become the MMO I come back to.
The voice acting is good also, but this is only seen in cut scenes. Would love to see more of that as it makes the game and characters feel more alive and interesting.
Personally I feel like a little more could have went into this before even releasing it in early access.. I don't think developers sometimes don't understand the reputation that a very underdeveloped game can portray early in, unfortunately. It's one of those situations where you love the potential, so you have to hang onto that. I know the chapter releases can bring people back, but with the character progression roll backs - and lack of content.. it could lose traction quickly.
Some things I love about the game:
- Horse physics are really good, and their overall designs are quite realistic (my potato of a computer ruins the experience as I can't fully run the graphics, so my horses don't look so good, I think you should only play if you can run it on high for max experience) Also the SOUND of their hooves on different terrain and materials... that is top tier details I notice that bring the overall experience together for me.
- Characters feel natural and speak organically, good voice acting and commentary, although could be fleshed out more.
- Nice sized map, maybe room to expand one day? Map could have more interesting exploration features/tasks/collections
- Weekly quest are a nice touch, different ways to gain experience and rep. I love the phone feature with all of the apps. The races are enjoyable and create a little friendly competition. Able to collect items in the world around you is nice also. I like the upgrade feature a lot. I love having many things I can focus on - little grind is GOOD!
Improvements:
- Horses are a little boring right now even though they are supposed to be the star of the show. Very few customisation options, very few breeds or options to buy (In-game) I want to be able to raise money (in-game) and earn horses through different perks/achievements. I HATE having to buy horses for real money - what is there to look forward to when working towards something then besides clothes and tack?
as far as I have seen I cannot buy any from the stables. I understand the nature of being realistic in this kind of game but allow players to have horses that differentiate them from everyone else creating a dynamic community of personalities. We also need more tack and clothing customisation options. (Note: I love the stats and having to think about this for various activities, but it would be nice to change colours or purchase more of the same stats with various colours)
- Horse relationships feel dull. I like the idea of my horse perhaps... not performing well because it's hungry or getting upset because it needs to be brushed (engaging horse game with realism).. my horse has NO personality at all. Creating the emotion of a strong horse bond is front and centre to a game like this regardless of the story. Give horse riders more options to engage with horses in different ways, the online communities are also speaking about these things. Create systems where we can work on the relationships we have with our horses,
- Side quests other than giving experience or rep is quite dull. Point a to point b system or collection (not a problem if experience was more of a grind but it doesn't seem to be) so create more dynamic, story driven side quests and leave the dull grindy bits for weekly tasks and rep building.
- More options to interact with characters and develop relationships (not specifically romantic no) but maybe more interesting rpg elements with more commentary and ways to engage or react would be a nice touch
- I Suggest slowing down the main quest progression and people becoming bored by fleshing out all of these extras and adding more overall content. People are flying through the story.
- Main story could use more voice interactions, and cut scenes, but I know were a ways away from that at the moment
I am looking forward to seeing how this title progresses and hopefully by then I will have upgraded my specs. I tried getting into star stable but it's just too childish - I probably wouldn't mind so much if I didn't have to actually buy horses and I can't earn them in the game. This game has the potential to be top in it's genre - keep it going!

As it stands now? Heeeeeell no... Story is over in 1h if you push it. It's barely anything at the moment, races are solo with just times against others and most times are from when people could bug out the sprint. Just clunky, males look like some thicc females and clothes all sit like some latex on you. Just overall is meh. Horse riding is ok but not even close to say even RDR2.
Soooo much left to do.
Sorry, but today it's not worth it.

It's a shame there is no middle ground between thumbs up and thumbs down....I think this game is promising, the story line is interesting and the pacing is good, as well as the characters. I do think this game entered early access waaaaay too early though. It is nowhere near ready for EA IMO, EA should be released when the game is at least 50% there, if not 75%, and I'd put this game at a generous 20%. There is A LOT left to work on:
- There is a lack of actual cut scenes and even animations such as milking cows. The animations they do have need work, EG. When you feed your horse from the bucket their head seems to morph through the bucket or the bucket floats away from their head. Also- to feed your horse a treat, why would you need to whip out a bucket? In some of the scripts written for the cut scenes, there are clear spelling and grammatical errors which is just sloppy.
-The horse feels static and lacking in any character, the design is beautiful but beyond that the horse will mostly just stand there and respond to your riding commands. No animations when standing still, no noises.... Dead behind the eyes basically!
- They should improve aliasing options in the graphic display area so users with lower end PCs can switch between TAA to SMAA or FXAA
-Whilst I really appreciate them adding xbox controller compatibility, it does need work. On cutscenes the choose dialgoue options seems non functional and I cant scroll between them or select them so I have to have my keyboard and mouse handy. I have yet to find out how to use the 'search' function using the controller so again I have to switch to keyboard. It's doable but not ideal.
-It's clear the game will add different horse breeds in time which is great! The arabian needs work though, they have obviously modelled it on show arabians which are usually exaggerated in their dish shaped facial features. I would rather they had modelled them on working arabian lines. The lack of mane near the top is very strange. I think having warmbloods as the standard starting option is a safe play and to be honest I'm a little fed up of the overhype of warmbloods in the equestrian community. That being said, I think historically games have opted for thoroughbreds/thoroughbred designs so it shows some diversity at least.
- I really REALLY wish this game had not decided to be an MMO. It literally brings NO benefit to the game whatsoever, if anything it detracts from the experience and cheapens the game. They could have the game as single player but allow people the option to create lobbies and play with others. Leadership boards could simply be collected from single play game saves and populated into the main game.
Overall the game has promise and I hope it reaches its goals, but in its current state I would not recommend it. So much to work on and released far too early.

Bought this game for my wife who is not gamer, but very interested in horses.
The movement tutorial system needs some work - while mounted she found it very difficult to figure out how to move around, how to keep the camera in a good 3rd-POV location, and kept getting stuck on world obstacles. Once I told her to keep the right mouse button held down basically always, she had a better time.
Her other feedback was that the quests weren't very fulfilling; they just tell you to go to X, then go to Y, then go to Z - need to make some systems available earlier in the game for people to play through rather than just follow-the-arrow gameplay.
Will give it a shot again later this year when the game is more developed
