when I first bought the Taladi Outpost I was happy with it everything worked good. After I went through the Gate the game started Crashing. Now the game crashes about every 15 minutes. Yes! I like this game when it workes. No! I do not like it when it is crashing all the time I can not recommend it at this time

this DLC contain the wackiest faction in all of x games. it will kill any ship with trader purposes in it and ignore any ships with big guns except xenon. TBH it won't change anything in the game if you didn't get this

If you're looking for an amazing sandbox space sim, look no further. There's really no "out of ship" content to be had, but X:R far makes up for it in sheer replayability in-ship...if you can even call constantly expanding your personal empire replaying.

This adds some interesting elements to the game. The new areas are unique and dangerous, making managing your ships' movements more important. Dealing with a "pirate" faction when there is no authorities that are going to help you out makes for some interesting choices. I ended up setting up my own patrols to protect my (and other NPC faction's) ships. Overall this is a great addition to the game that adds a bit more "Think" into the "Trade" and "Explore" options.

With 4.0 and homelight out along with this expansion the universe finally feels big and I haven't ran into near as many bugs!

i watched as X: rebirth launched 1 year ago and almost bought it then. I watched as bad review after bad review hit...and did not buy. I have kept an eye on this title ever since and with the Teladi Outpost DLC launchi checked on it again. After reading reviews and doing some more research on it i felt like giving it a try and going for a purchase. I have not regreted that choice. If you have been watching this title hoping it would turn into something i feel like now is the time to jump in. I put 8 hrs into it and barely felt like i had been playing at all. I will say this though; repairing your ship seems like it should be easier once you have a ship tech on board. I can't seem to get them to repair my ship. So i fire them and then they will repair it...? I am pretty sure that i'm doing something wrong and making it harder than it is but that is the only problem i've had so far. TL:DR Fun game, buy it at discount to feel extra good about it.

Short review... I finished the main campaign and had not yet started anything to do with the Teladi Outpost. I did not yet even know how to get there. Suddenly my freighters start insisting on going through these "unknown" sectors where they get randomly attacked and destroyed. (Which raises the question, how do they know how to go there if the sectors haven't been "discovered" yet??? Then again, why are there civilian ships flying about in Xenon space??? A: Sloppy game design) There is no way to tell your freighters not to go into certain areas, a common sense ability Egosoft consistently refuses to include in the X games. So after watching my ability to do trades and get the needed supplies to finish my first station literally get blown to bits (3 Titurels gone in 5 min and there was nothing I could do about it) in an area I couldn't yet reach (because it was my first play through and I'd no idea how to get there) I exited, uninstall this bit of garbage and debated whether to start another game without this DLC. Rebirth as a whole is pretty, the graphics are much improved. But its like Egosoft decided to take everything I loved about X3 and trash it, and instead focus on just about everything I disliked. I've no idea where there heads are at. but its not on good game design. Worse, they can't seem to make up their minds where they were going with this game. First they disable the jump gates and give us space highways (ala Freelancer spacelanes) and then they give us a DLC that switches from that and instead gives us a huge open area you have to boost across (gimme back my old boosters that DON'T drain shields). All the while I'm just sitting here really missing how jump gates and jump beacons worked in X3. Why would you "boost" across a vast sector when you can just jump? Shrug, if you lik a sector where ships randomly turn hostile just to attack freighters and then turn "friendly" again like nothing happened, even though they're Teladi and supposedly "traders" (no faster way to kill off trade and profits than to blow up every merchant ship that comes along)... enjoy the complete nonsense. If you want to actually be able to do trading, skip this DLC.

X Rebirth is a fantastic game - especially now with 4.0 - and I'm glad to have this expansion to the base game. I still have lots to explore in this region, but it's already well worth while. I love the atmosphere of this game, including this expansion - the galaxy has character, depth, beauty. It feels crafted not generic. It feels alive. It's a place worthy of making your own stories. This expansion isn't huge, but it is a good size and I'm happy with what it adds - and when it comes to this game I'll take all there is! << EDIT: Have now passed the 300 hour mark in Rebirth, and.. am STILL LOVING THIS GAME! >>

What is the point of new ships if you can't fly them? You're still stuck in the aptly named "Albion Skunk". One of the greatest sources of diversity and freedom of choice the X series offered in previous titles has been stripped away and still remains gone. I don't think I'll be able to take much interest in this game or any of its expansions until that is rectified. Yes, I know I can change the stupid weapon mounts on my stupid Skunk and alter it within certain limits, but it just isn't the same and feels like a massive step backwards for the series.

X:Rebirth was playable and much enjoyable even with the 2.5 patch. I've been playing 3.0 since the first beta and I haven't encountered any bugs or issues with the game. The performance is very good, and only a couple of sectors have FPS drops. But even then - the FPS is stuck around 40-45 as a minimum on my rig. I'm very happy to see that the Teladi Outpost got a separate steam ID so people can actualy rate the game at its current state and not by the horrible state it was at launch. If you want a beautiful looking space shooter - Get X:R now. There's no question about it. There is no games like it currently available. And before you say it - NO, star citizen is not available - it's in alpha, and there's basically nothing to do (I own the game myself). And no - At this time even Elite is not out yet. And I'm afraid by forum posts - it still needs a lot of work to do. Egosoft had a bad launch - they stood by the game, they patched it up, and they even made an expansion now that makes the game insanely fun for me. Now... i'm off to pewpew some Xenon and make more profitsss...
