Don't get me wrong, it's pretty neat and a blast to the past for anyone who enjoyed early 1980s RPG Text Adventures, or maybe something like The Bards Tale games on an old Apple or Commodore 64 computer for example. But these days, in my opinion, it just needs a little more. Maybe seeing the dice rolls would add more flair to this. Maybe seeing images of the monsters you are fighting as well as yourself and you see the images get scratched and bloody the more damage taken. https://youtu.be/8ipM71q8-cU There was obviously a TON of effort and work put into this game. But this is just a little "too old school" for me and without that little extra, it does little to hold my attention for very long. ------------------------------------------- The developer(s) here need to look at some fierce competition in other similar games. both priced less than this game with what looks like even more depth: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1155970/Roadwarden/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/616920/BatMUD/ I mean Batmud is 1/3rd of the price and also offers "online" adventuring as well. There's over 50 players playing it at the very moment that I write this review and that's 50 players that you can actually interact with, trade with, talk to etc inside the game. And Roadwarden is an extremely polished text adventure game with great writing and tons of great reviews. ------------------------------------------- RECOMMENDED for really old school RPG text adventure fans. Keep in mind that there is a massive amount of RNG here and because of this, luck is probably going to be more of determining factor in your games that is strategy. For me, this game just costs a little too much and I feel I could probably play something like this for free on a good number of websites. For me this is a refund, but I can recommend it if you like this really old school all text, no sounds, no images type of adventuring.
