Not a good idle game. No passive money income - gotta click the petals to get money. Or sell the cats. Even if I left the game running the cats got like no xp to lvl on their own. Felt like a long haul idle game where you would get really into it maybe 72 hours in lmao Over all not the game I was expecting and didn't enjoy.

Bit slow at first, but gets better when you get into it. No in game purchases or anything, you can just play as is and if you do your dailies you won't need to buy much on the market.

This is one of the most deceiving cash grabs games out there. Yall's preying on crazy cat ladies and you know it >_< FOR SHAME!! There is quite literally nothing to do in this game. Even for an idler. And I love me a good idler. I am the type of person who usually leaves an idle game running in the background as I go about my day. I like having music playing, a nice backdrop to look at as I pass my computer and a couple clicks here and there in between daily tasks. I am patient. I can be very patient, esp when cuties are involved ;) I was so excited based off of the trailers for this game but I am disappointed. I feel like the trailers and pictures are very misleading (?). Something just isn't adding up. For starters, there is NOTHING engaging to do or even look at to start. Which to a degree, I understand. But there is nothing to even do to make me want to come back and play and build up to more. Not even the cats. AND I F***** LOVE MY CHONKY CATS. Because quite frankly, the cats don't even do anything in this game and they don't even look all that cute. There I said it. Half the time you cannot even see their adorable little faces and whiskers and paws. I feel like there is absolutely no effort put into the animations. Other than the zen music, there is nothing to enjoy. No cuteness factor, the environment is lack lustre. Money making is a joke. All there is to do is to click on some annoying petals for income and wave around a dirty sock for 2 exp. You are telling me I have a room filled with cats and you want me to CLICK PETALS?! Weak AF. And lame. You can do better. And sit around and click petals for what? Nothing even looks remotely worth buying. Just feels very low effort. I have played free games that are more engaging and rewarding. I am going to keep this game up and running a bit longer to see if it has potential but right now, I am just feeling a bit lead on. Great game in theory, poor execution. There is better out there, fellow cat ladies and lads. And this isn't it.

Meh. I think if there were simply more to do with the cats, then it would be a much more enjoyable game. Simply holding the RMB over them, or just watching them sleep doesn't really amount to much of anything. I also felt that progression was too slow, even when using an auto clicker in an attempt to speed things up. I get that the game wants to go for more of a chill / relaxation vibe, but there needs to at least something going on, and clicking on falling petals ain't that. Perhaps the game could've helped itself by leaning more into its cat collection element. Came in for chonkers and chill vibes, and unfortunately left feeling disappointed and bored.

The perfect idle game if you love cats and lofi, Have it running in the background while you work, play games or just sit spacing out. Cats. Space cats.

It actually pains me to give a negative review when I'd rather just label this one a beige flag because I really really liked the first 10 minutes and the lustre immediately fell off. The game being discounted $6 dollery-doos caught my eye and I appreciate a simple idle game but they miss the mark on a few too many features. Honestly wouldn't call a cash grab if it weren't for the community market implementation attempt. All for experimenting but for an idle game its up there with trash monetisation methods considering the game plays like a gatcha game. (I like gatcha but I'm just being realistic that it's on the scale of predatory monetisation methods). That was the straw that broke my engagement with it sadly. While I haven't played the demo I feel like it would encapsulate the entire game by accident since after you sell your first cat that's basically all the game has to offer past collecting different cats to finish the book. Nothing wrong with the collecting side except for the community market implementation that's always a red flag for any game. What I do like about the game is the petal clicking and the exp sock. It's quite engaging to have a full house of kittens and turning the toggle on the toy. It's optimal to drag your mouse to play with several cats at the same time and that plus the petal clicking has such great multitasking potential over your standard cookie clicker clicking for ways to start an idle game. I cannot stress how much I like this system. What disappoints me about it is how the combo caps out at 999, making petal clicking only good for earning 1st tier and barely 2nd tier upgrades and not at all worth doing very early on since it caps at 15 munnies a click. I'd say being able to pause the combo timer and having the combo cap be infinite but not scale so much so you'd still wanna rely on cats for income would be an improvement but that's just my taste. The devs seem to have created a nice community around the game though solely with the google sheet they have linked in the game for cat name suggestions which is just so cute. And based on other reviews they're doing pretty well by their fans with updates addressing suggestions people have. So honestly good on them and I like it when devs are active with their community.

This idle game is boring, slow and a very obvious cash grab. Have had it running for days now and literally haven't earned anywhere near enough money to open up anything interesting other than the default room and basic items. Disappointing.

Terrible "game." Cats do nothing but "sleep." The breathing animation is barely noticeable, they look dead, to be honest. I understand it is an idle game but there is next to nothing to do in game except "play" with the cats which leaves much to be desired. It is a single loop animation. Daily quest is click on them for 5 minutes and play for one hour? Most idlers have at least SOME interaction with the subject. Not worth the $5.00. This is the worst cash grab I've seen on Steam in years.

I love Chonkers. I bought it as soon as it came out, since I was already waiting for it a while before that. The game is truly made with love and time. I really like to just have it running in the background, while I do something else. The new options and the fast updates are amazing, I love it! 100% worth the price for that amount of work.
