Waited sooo long for an update.. and dev made altars even worse somehow. Another one I wish I could give a neutral review, but pricing for content and pacing of updates, Im leaving it negative.

i give it a 7/10
the meta-progression isnt bad, sound is decent, some rather standard but fun abilities, graphics arent pixelated, etc.
what i dont like:
- feels repetetive (because of some things listed below)
- you are somewhat forced to complete one damage archetype as you cant get all the damage type scaling and even if you complete one within a run you cant get the others on top of that, so its mathematically the best to get main, power, passive and movement ability of the same damage type and stack that damage only. since abilities and therefore some damage types are also bound to character type you chose, you e.g. cant make an archer that has ricochet and also cast lunar spells, which reduces the variety a lot.
- you get boni and new weapon types for the archetype (e.g. physical damage) you play by leveling up the accord clan? i think they are named clans or faction or smth to lazy to check again, which further incentivises you to level that one to the end as it will always be the strongest one you have. the passive boni work cross-class so at some point you will want to level all of them but until then playing only one is the "strongest" way. and since
- its a DPS-check game. not much space to run, you get exp for kills and the only way not to be overrun is to have enough damage per second. , so you will always want to play the strongest setup and cant really have fun experimenting with weakern ones, by compensating with better gameplay.
- you have runes for sockets in your abilities but you have to equip them anew EACH FUCKING RUN, which annoys me a lot. i always want the cold damage ones in the cold abilities, the crit ones in my main damage ability, the AOE-increase ones in my AOE ability ,etc. its not like i switch them up, they arent synergetic enough for that. would be MUCH better if i could make a setup before i start into the run and that is auto-applied with an OPTION to check my "inventory/ character" during the run (like a pause-screen) in which i COULD swap them around if i feel like it.
- you sometimes get e..g "freeze related" options to choose from, when you dont have a single lunar ability chosen (lunar damage = cold damage) which is kind of annoying.
- would be much cooler if the equipment was persistent over multiple runs, at least the base-stats, since the stats themselves are kind of the same (generic!) increases anyway, you just soullessly click reroll for the ones you want; that way, you could grind for better RPG-style loot and gather rare equip (which should have more individual stats and abilities etc., making each iece more distinct from others!) over time, which would bring some purpose and game-loop into this survivors like.
- some caravans are rediculously tanky? like i kill the normal mobs just fine, suddenly spawns a caravan and i hyperocus all damage on them but they walk away with 90% hp left? unless im missing smth they are WAY off in the tankiness-balance.
lots to complain but overall its decent fun for a couple hours, not to much to do or any "noteworthy" lategame grind goals IMO.

It's got a good thing going here. Had one kinda rough update, but the devs were quick to act in fixing the poor choices. Shows promise for the future if they listen, or dare i say, talk first before developing things people might detest.
As for the game itself, its very grindy, but that's kind of the rub with games like this. There's enough progression to feel fun as you unlock and level your favorites but "completion" will become a slog once you've gotten all the available level rewards. Hoping this changes in the future, but that said, the gameplay is snappy, responsive, hit boxes are very generous to the player both in hits and dodges, the bosses are pretty interesting. There's a lot to enjoy here. Steam claims it's a hades/survivors-like game. To me, It's less like a Survivors game (or death must die, etc), and a lot more like playing something like Diablo/Path of Exile on a speed run. You get all the fun of going from zero to number machine in about 20m.
Overall, for the price, i'd say its worth it, and if they keep updating the game, there'll be a lot here some day. It's pretty clear they care, and the only thing it needs is just more to do. More interesting ways to keep earning that don't feel like a waste of time (kind of how it does once you've done everything.) But yea, that's my 2 cents, there's a great game here. And there's enough of it here, I think if you like ARPGs and/or Survivors-like games, treat this like a mish-mashed mini-version and enjoy.

The game is feature-incomplete imo, and doesn't receive updates often enough for me to recommend it.

Demo to early access added very little. Updates are basically nothing. it's a simplistic game design I thought there would be frequent updates with added content based on the map, but I am pretty sure it's just a slapped together cash grab and not going to be finished.

I want to recommend this game. I would have, prior to the most recent update. That's got me on the ropes. The most recent update destroys any sort of attempt at making unique builds. Want to build a heavy tank with the new shield and flail?! Well tough, because you'll time out of the battles. Want to build some strange quick build with the "uber boss" hand katars? Nah. Because they don't cleave. So you'll time out and take "Cosmic Damage" because of course you can't hit your target well enough in the couple minutes you're granted to do so. Want to KILL that uber boss? Well, you have options. And that's barbarian. Maybe thief, if you're lucky. That's about it. Unless you've already killed her! Then you've unlocked using bows to kill her with the arrow artifact!
If you haven't purchased it yet, stay away. At least until the developer decides if he's making a game with 1 or 2 actual functioning builds for a SINGLE PLAYER GAME or if he's going to target the "cheese" builds that self-heal but take forever to do any sort of damage... It's a bit of a disgrace and was better in it's last iteration.

The new update took a while to get here and there's two big things that make me think the design ideas are not aimed at the player having fun: gambling alters, and enrage timers.
Enrage timers in MMOs are to prevent cheesing with "all healers" or something like that. In single player, it's a sign of terrible balance implementation - you should NEVER be concerned about if players are cheesing a single player game but also you shouldn't need to implement timers for 2, 3, 8(!) minutes for a single boss in a game like this. That's just godawful balance. If you can get TO THE BOSS that means you should have the ability to defeat it, in a reasonable time.
Between that and the meta Stat bonuses now being tied to gambling, often with 1-2 runs worth of currency to try and eek out 1% crit more, I just don't think the dev knows what makes these games fun, and I'm not going to give my time to something going in that direction.

They ruined the game with recent update, now more rolls but never get what want ex if playing lunar or solar build will purposely not get passive of same type when trying to get bonus skill on gold armor. And added new armor with great stats re rolled over 30+ times couldn't even get a 2 piece set

The basic idea is good, but most of the classes/abilities suck. You need more ways to gain damage. The game keeps giving me garbage upgrades to choose from. I'm constantly stuck in a situation where the boss can't do enough damage to kill me, and I can't do enough damage to kill him. So it gets boring fast. I'd rather play Vampire Survivors.
