Scratches the mario kart itch. Level design and "whoa this is fast" almost gives me F-zero vibes and it also leans in the MK8 direction so I am really enjoying my time with this game.

This game is super fun and everything but I bought this game for my friends and I so we could play together and then I found out it didn't have online play. Literally will buy this game again when online is added and so will my other friends. Hope it gets added soon. :)

All this game needs is true multiplayer support and it would be an instant success when it reaches 1.0 final release. That missing feature is really holding back this game's true potential.

I had hopes for this and gave in after years on having it on my wishlist.
The warning sign is there though. "Early Access" for like 10 years now.
The biggest issue is that the game suffers from stuttering. I doubt my hardware is the issue as it surpasses the recommended hardware. Maybe it is Linux? But neither proton nor the native version behaved differently. Adding "-window-mode exclusive" to the launch properties seemed to help a bit but no. There is stuttering :(
But even without it, the game would still not get a recommendation. There aren't really good tracks and some are just awful.
Having some "fun" track gimmick that requires knowing the gimmick beforehand or falling off the track constantly is just bad for something I wanna play as a local multiplayer game (Like the runbow track).
The music is bland and the driving feels off. You will be busy hugging the wall especially on the higher speeds.
Maybe my expectation of having a couch multiplayer that reminds people of Mario Kart is just not well placed here.
