It's a point and click adventure game if that's your jam. It's not too shabby i guess. I liked the music. And now I can say I played this classic game finally

I can't believe that they butchered my boy Guybrush so badly. He looks like he was run over a few times and had an accident with a lawnmower, too. You had one job and you fucked it up. I play this game with the OG graphics and voices which is not possible with this version. But you can use this version to generate the "Ultimative Talkie Edition" of the game. Which is the best version of the game imho. They didn't butcher MI2 SE like they butchered this game. MI2 SE is an improvement over the original.

The dialogue is hilarious, the puzzles were fun, but in the fashion of any 90s game there are some ridiculous game mechanics (i.e. saying the same thing to the same person enough times will get you a different response). There were plenty of times I would use Universal Hints and be like "how on EARTH was I supposed to know how to do that?! If you're used to those sort of annoyances, though, this game is definitely worth a play through for anyone who loves a puzzle adventure game.
Expected more monkeys
Fun little game, the story is alright, the characters are fun, the music is good, all in all, buy if it is on sale. It's not hard at all (the game has an option that literally points you to what you need to do), but, sometimes it's not really clear what you have to do. Have in mind that you have 10+ verbs to apply to 10+ items and sometimes none make sense, but it is what it is.

Classic point-and-click game with updates mechanics and look. Mix of actual puzzles and wearying trial-and-error pseudo-puzzles, along with a few "Oh, come on!" moments when learning what the solution was to a particular quest or action (as in, oh, come on, who would have reasonably thought of that?).

I remember that as a kid, I could never get the hang of this game… and all these years later, nothing has changed for me ;D This is coming from someone who has barely ever managed to beat any classic adventure game on their own. Back then or now—my brain just isn’t wired for figuring out all the item combinations and their intended uses. And here, you can even perform eight different actions on every single object. Even though this is the “remastered” version, it still feels a bit clunky at times. Luckily, for complainers like me, there’s a wonderful hotkey—“H” for hints. Sure, the old-school game design, where you have to click the same item dozens of times, might scare off zoomers. But if you push through that and get used to it, you’ll uncover a delightful and entertaining story. This is only the second classic adventure game I’ve completed in the past few years, but oh my god—the humor here is absolutely brilliant and clever. There are thematic jokes, witty wordplay, fourth-wall breaks, hilarious absurdities, sword-fighting duels—it all feels surprisingly fresh and fun even in 2025. Even though I struggled a lot through the first third of the game, and even with hints it didn’t always go smoothly, I was genuinely thrilled. I kept being amazed at how each new situation was more inventive than the last. Now I finally understand why this adventure game series (or at least some of its entries) is so beloved.

Look! a three headed monkey! Don't let the three hours tag fool you. I've played this game on a non-steam version and re-purchased it here... Then speedran it, I guess? Classic point and click adventure game with good sense of humour throughout. If you like point and click and don't already know who Guybrush is he is one of the mainstays and this is the first game in the series.
