Dunno what people expected, but it's an okay-ish port for single-player. The online is... it may very well just not exist.

Giving a preemptive approval as the developers have confirmed that they're working on rollback and have been updating to improve the game in response to feedback over time. Hold off for now or buy on sale if you really want because the gameplay and characters are very fun.

Didn't expect it but the new update released today fixed many problems the port had. Finally playable now. (Still needs an exit game button on title screen though)

EDIT: OK, i finally played the online and I found a huge problem. When I played the online with a friend we weren't allowed to jump (made us do BC attacks instead) and our buttons were automatically mapped wrong. Also it doesn't seem to boot on my other PC for some mysterious reason, which runs Windows 11. I'm keeping my recommendation as positive anyway since my experience with this game on my usual PC is no different than my experience on PS3, which is good for the most part. Posititves: + They recently fixed a bunch of glitches + They removed the always-online DRM + Plays like AquaPazza should, generally + Crisp HD sprites + Complies with the steam inputs settings nicely, allowing my favorite PS3 fightstick to work Negatives - No players online. I guess you could call it a Discord game or even a Parsec game. Otherwise I can't judge the online since I'd have to get a friend to play it with me. - I can't seem to get keyboard controls to work. I'm able to advance past the title screen but nothing else. - (new) online is super glitchy. I wasn't allowed to jump, instead doing BC attacks whenever I pressed up. BC was also mapped what should have been my C button. Notes * Buying this is easier than emulating it, but since you'll probably be using Parsec for net play anyway, there may be no reason to not emulate it * I heard there was a glitch involving Konomi's back grab crashing the game. I have not seen it yet, but I don't know how it ever was done. There's a chance they have patched that out too. * AquaPlus did NOT develop this game in the first place. It was Examu, now known as Team Arcana. It's moreso a licensed game with AquaPlus characters. I don't really understand why they didn't bring them back to at least supervise the porting process. * In their announcement discussing the February patch they said they were planning to add rollback. I'm a little hesitant to say whether I think that'll work out for them and if they can manage to even bring in more online players to test that. Overall: If you tried this game in the Fall of 2025 and were dissatisfied in the state it was in, it may be a good time to give it a second chance. Just don't get it for its native netplay.
