Fun way to destress and relax while listening to a cute background song.

Basically just a Bejeweled clone but this time with chains. You got a few different modes like time attack, arcade, strategy & puzzle mode. It's not a bad clone but doesn't really do anything different and I can't recommend it for the current price.

Chainz 2 is one of many match-3 puzzlers released during the causal gaming gold rush of the early-to-mid 2000's. This one differs quite a bit from competitors such as Bejeweled in terms of it's difficulty. You have to be a lot more strategic with your matches in this game compared to others, all the while having a higher luck ceiling. It's a good game to stretch your brain with, and it goes well with ambient Aphex Twin music. I'd recommend getting this on sale tho. $10 is a bit too much for a game like this in 2024.

I love this game but it has started freezing my computer up when I exit the game. Not good. Don't know how to fix it.

This is an interesting variation on Match 3 - it's actually harder thant he usual kind, which is probably why it fell out of favor. You can't move the links at all, all you can do is flip them between NS and EW orientation. I played the heck out of Chainz back in the old days when Popcap didn't suck. I'd give this a thumbs up for pure gameplay for 99 cents, but unfortunately this is so old it's a major chore to get running on my current machine with modern drivers - getting it to keep focus is a real pain. And it only runs at 640x480. It's CERTAINLY no longer worth anywhere near the $10 being asked for it. 99 cents max.

[i]Chainz 2: Relinked[/i] is a fun take on the Match-3 genre where instead of swapping items, you change the direction of the link so that each linkage will be cleared from the board once three or more links in the chain are linked together in the same direction. A shame that the first one isn't on Steam, but trust me, you're gonna prefer this game anyway. (Oh, and Galaxy's not on here either? TF?) There are four modes you should be aware of: CLASSIC: The standard untimed mode. Run out of possible linkages, and it's game over. ARCADE: My personal favourite mode. You keep going until the time runs out. STRATEGY: New links pop up every move, so be careful if you want to get to the tenth stage. PUZZLE: A set amount of puzzles which you can try your hand in. I'd prefer buying this game in a sale, as it's rather steeply priced (£7). Regardless, this game overall is a good time if you enjoy Match-3 games in general.

I like the challenge. It is a fun game that becomes addictive. Time passes when you are bored and need something to help pass the time. Connecting the links and collecting the letters and watching the chain on the side fill up, makes for a fun game.
