The bestest of boys to inherit the Earth
Now imagine that in some totally fictional world, somewhere, somehow, six doggos got into a nuclear shelter right before a strike that wiped most life off the face of the planet. The shelter was designed in a way to accommodate them so they did survive. Many, many years passed and now ancestors of those six Chihuahuas have evolved and are exploring the brave new world, making themselves comfortable while trying to keep themselves safe. We'll follow a small party of Chihuahuans, as they call themselves, to lands previously unknown, following a strange signal and, if at all possible, trying to find some treats as apparently there has to be a tree that grows treats naturally somewhere out here.
MARIK: And then they are going to make me watch Beverly Hills Chihuahua! ODION: That's part of the ancient ritual? MARIK: Apparently. YGOTAS, LittleKuriboh
Please note that my playtime is due to reading this VN in both Ukrainian and English and writing a guide too, it's about 2 hours long if you read though everything. Yet while being short it's very well-made, and nicely written so let's get to it. Firstly I really like the art, sprites are cute and very expressive, backgrounds are a work of art in and on themselves, would buy an artbook if available, really love all the tiny details and there are many, many references hidden in there and throughout the game in general. A tad too many imo but they can be easily overlooked so it's no big deal. What I also enjoyed and will prompt those who can do so to read the story in both languages is how they handled a bunch of text references that get to do with local culture\media in Ukraine and thus will be lost on those not familiar with it, so those just reference different things in Ukrainian and English, ingeniously enough. There are still some left in the background (literally) but they're not plot-related so just let them be. But I really liked how that was handled, way to go. The story itself is good, not very plot-heavy but has a bunch of lore and overall is cute without being too silly. I do think I should point out one minor spoiler but it must be done: the worst these doggos are put through is
an upset stomach and some frights.
Nothing major, really, but I do think it's worth mentioning and the spoiler tag is there to help. English translation is pretty good, there are some minor things here and there and I hunted some down while reading so there should be less in the near future, overall nothing major to hinder reading or comprehension whatsoever. I also enjoyed the sounds in the game as well as one short scene that was voiced, it's very minor but is made well. Overall this VN is an easy recommend from me, it's a pleasant read, especially if you want something short with a bit of bittersweet mixed in but primarily cute. Somewhat silly too, but imagine a bunch of evolved dogs trying to figure out tumbleweed or understand what a leash was used for. Tumbleweed is apparently very scary, it's no laughing matter, could be a monster for all they know! That kind of thing.

I really enjoyed this visual novel. Cartoon pups very serious about their mission are funny, arts look great, and the story is very kind, despite the post apocalyptic setting. This game is good for kids and adults. Despite being a lighthearted story, it raises deeper questions about humanity. I recommend this game.

This visual novel is fairly short, but it's a fun little story with lots of pop culture references and was worth the price in my opinion. Entertaining, good art quality, the music nicely matches the scenes, and there are lots of quirky characters. Recommended to animal lovers everywhere. Five out of five paws.

Surprisingly touching and stylish! A chihuahua in a post-apocalyptic world sounds absurd, but the story is engaging, and the visuals and atmosphere create a unique charm. Definitely worth playing!

I thoroughly enjoyed the game. I think it's the first visual novel I've ever played to the end. Got two endings! Very well drawn, great story, fun characters.
Funny, creative, and gorgeous
I decided to buy the full game after less than 5 minutes of playing the demo. The premise is hilarious in its own right - a bunch of chihuahuas exploring the post-apocalyptic earth. Then the game exceeded all of my expectations.
Visuals
The world looks absolutely stunning, you can tell that a lot of thought went into keeping the balance between recognizable buildings and objects, slowly decaying as the centuries pass, and creating beautiful new landscapes, with almost alien-looking sights. As for the main characters, they are so adorable! Their little faces are incredibly expressive and manage to perfectly portray their personalities.
World-building
I don't want to spoil the big reveals or jokes (there are so many in the game), but I can't imagine a better showcase of how a chihuahuan civilization would look like and how its citizens would think and behave. Every detail is taken into consideration, and the result is ridiculous in a good way. The world feels mysterious, full of curiousities.
Writing
The game is mostly reading, which is expected of visual novels, so writing is the most important part. And it does not disappoint. Everything from minute details in the conversation, to objects you decide to look at, will have a sizable impact on the story. The main characters have unique personalities and goals, their judgment feels like it's based on years of experience, which makes their interactions with the world more nuanced. The adventures they encounter are unexpected and fun to unravel.
Final thoughts
I fell in love with these cute faces and the world of this game. There are tons of easter eggs, and not all of them will be obvious, but spotting one is a pleasant surprise each time. I instantly fell in love with the game and highly recommend it!
