Generally speaking i like the game. The "tower defense" standard game is fun. One issue is that you don't have enough researchable units in medieval and subsequent era to defend yourself against the hard mode mongol horde (medieval era), French (renaissance era), and Victorian (Industrial Era). Researching renaissance era tech during their mongol invasion countdown is steep/hard which is even stated by tool tip. Defending against hard Rome was hard and fun enough but Genghis khan is on another level of hard which affects how fun it is. I had my ICBM Caesar with range 6 catapult but he only does a damage of ONE against a Genghis khan generic unit! maybe it was wrong of me to ignore the ballista units. still Ballista's have Attack of 31+ iirc while Genghis khan's unit have an average of 42 defense! EDIT 03/17/2025: I take that back, if Genghis khan is level 1, the french army is level 10 and the British Empire level 100 all on hard mode. Napoleon I could handle with my frigates and tacticians but then a Victorian army consisting of long ranged navy obliterated my army and cities. 63 Attack per ship! One glaring flaw is the need of oil at Industrial era. Good luck to you if your nation doesn't have any of this black gold within your territory because every unit going forward can only be built with these resources. The English translation needs an improvement especially tool tip description of abilities. An example is Alexander's tool tip. It is nowhere near what his tool tip says. It only affects him but you will initially think it's for friendlies a tile adjacent to him.
