DLC gives you trinket (first you must finish little quest) giving you a sound when you are near secret. But seriously, it's better to wear more useful trinkets than this one.

Took me whooping 30 seconds to complete this so called ''quest to decipher ancient runes'' and got the useless trinket called compass. Don't buy this even on sale, completely worthless dlc.

The quest itself is vague and tacked-on feeling and the accessory you get is pretty worthless as I've tried to use it and have found NOTHING.

One more reason to explore the monastery. It's pretty fun but could have been implemented in a much better way.

There is not that many secret in the game... I actually never used the Compass but I got all the secrets. Even for 2.19$, it's pointless. Buy yourself a coffee instead.
EA
I am floored with how unoriginal CI Games is. Can you imagine not only stealing the large chunk of a games mechanics and story building techniques from a far better game, but stealing shitty business practices from a company (EA) that I hesitate is better than the shit I pulled out of my ass to write this review. None the less, my dookey covered hands will have to ruin another keyboard to finish what I started. Most of you may not remember this, or if you're a reactionary will suddenly not care, because you've been injected with so much hot boot licking juice, that you'll defend a billionaire because your cerebrum is so underdeveloped at this point you actually think you'll be one of them, or that they got there by the bootstraps they wear. SPOILER ALERT, THEIR COMPANY IS NOTHING WITHOUT THE EMPLOYEES, THEY DIDN'T MAKE THE PARTS, THEY DIDN'T BUILD THE FACTORIES, STOP ACTING LIKE THEY DID.
Anyway
Back when most of you were nematodes the CEO of EA John Riccitiello had the great idea that EA should start doing more micro-transactions. To the degree that he was on record saying "When you are six hours into playing Battlefield and you run out of ammo in your clip, and we ask you for a dollar to reload, you're really not very price sensitive at that point in time." "A consumer gets engaged in a property, they might spend 10,20,30,50 hours on the game and then when they're deep into the game they're well invested in it. We're not gouging, but we're charging and at that point in time the commitment can be pretty high." "But it is a great model and I think it represents a substantially better future for the industry." Both Dark Souls, and this quote came out back in 2011. And although they aren't charging you to reload guns, all the cool skins and new characters cost a little more in the "investment" of a game. And if any of you have played Dead Space 3, you'll know that EA was charging microtransactions for the IN GAME RESOURCES TO BUILD THE WEAPONS IN THE GAME. Yknow, the guns you didn't actually need, but were a main portion and a primary attraction to the game? All completely optional as well as another drone??? That game came out a year before this game, and I just find it odd that this is a purchase.
What is the purchase?
It's a single quest, to get a completely optional item, that at best, gives you a hint, doesn't even point it out, that there is a secret near you. That's right, no accurate compass, just a faint ping, no new secrets, no new areas. Nothing. And most of the secrets are obvious enough that you can figure them out by LITERALLY BASHING YOUR HEAD AGAINST THE WALL. Actual nonsense.
TL;DR
I hated this game so much that this is a clever ruse to make another bad review about how poorly this game was made.

This is a cash-grab for the completionists. It basically gives you a secret room finder. Yeah, they want money for such a feature. Not like there's a google with useful maps. Or even steam guides that can aid with it. What a waste, this is a terrible cash-grab. I absolutely don't recommend such trash. This is pretty much a 'purchasable' cheat. Or rather: A very awful microtransaction. Something like this is simply awful to see. Especially for a paid game, truly horrible. I just have to give this a negative review.

I was worried about not be able to play this game with skill after giving up and not understanding the gameplay of Demon Souls for the PS3. This game is so much more user friendly. I like a good challenge and for me this game fills the bill perfeclty. I am a 50 year old gamer who loves a good Action RPG and always have. Lords of the Fallen has quickly moved into my top 5 gems of the year. I am loving this so far. Think of it as a 3rd person Diablo. I do.

This DLC is one side mission between first and second boss, so quite early during the game. Its reward is amulet which when You wear it will signal You when You will be close to a secret area. Very helpful during first walktrough to get some extra stuff (after that You will pretty much remeber where this secrets are anyway). I suggest to use this amulet after You will kill enemies in certain area and just gear up this to run it again checking if You didn't miss any secret area.
