As someone who loved the developer's previous game "Mucorales", I was expecting to love this as well but it has some serious issues. Without a doubt the main reason you'll want to play this game is for the uncanny visuals and enemy designs. That's the best part of the game. However, while they do look cool the novelty runs out fast because of how much generative AI is used. The enemies and characters feel randomly placed in this world without a lot of thought put into making them make sense. All of the main heroes for example are depicted in a Korean webtoon style. While some enemies are claymation, and others are photoshop. The really annoying part of the game though is that it's simply not fun to play. There's no way to move quickly and there's tons of backtracking. And there are overly frequent random encounters that last 2-3 minutes each. While the boss fights are a slog because they have far too much health and low damage output themselves. I understand the struggles of indie development and respect the effort put in here. I just think that this game is overly ambitious and unfocused.

A cool little RPG with a pretty cool sort of grungy horror pixel art style. Story and characters were interesting enough, and the music added a nice level of ambiance to the different locations. My main criticisms are that sometimes the health bars on the bosses can be a bit excessive, and the enemy spawn rate in certain locations can be a bit much, but for 5/6 bucks, I'd say it's worth the couple hours of playtime.

I really loved this game! It was chill to play. My only critique is that the frequency of combat can get a bit tedious after a while so spacing those out might make it more engaging.
