Fun for the ACW buff. Needs better designed tutorials, though

Excellent game. I've been playing g them since 1st Manassas and this is the best one for me. I wonder if they are going to release Antietam, Friedericksburg, Chancellorsville maps, scenarios and OOBs. I remember having installed those at one point but I dont know how to get them or if they will release them again at some point.

So why take notice of a player with 3 hrs on record. Well, my experience with this game goes back to when it was first released in 2011 or 2012. Previously, I had played “Take Command: Second Manassas" in 2006 and these games are one of very few that I still have on physical media. Okay, the graphics are nothing special, but this game has massive play-ability due to the unique modding features (and dedicated modding community) built into the game and the unique command and control of your forces in real-time. No other strategy game comes close to this in term of commanding an army of thousands in the the musket age. this game has multiple styles of play - command your troops as a Army, corps, Division or brigade or micro manage individual regiments in real time charge at the enemy frontally or try to flank your opponents hold them in place with one force whilst another delivers the killer blow. The game includes ready made scenarios for the civil wars most famous battle + there is a sandbox area and multiplayer. With Norb & Co. back on the scene, I sense there will be some exciting new features—plus a few more battle packs! But it’s the modding community that really was at the heart of the game, and I, for one, can’t wait to get cracking researching new and old battle OOBs. If you love strategy and the civil war period you have to buy this game...you wont be disappointed

Excellent wargame. Heavily researched, and the mechanics are amazing. The courier system is brilliant. I definitely recommend this wargame if you want to get a good feel of what it is to command men in 19th c linear warfare.

I highly recommend this game. The game plays nice and smooth for me, if you have any interest in the Civil War you will be happy with this game. There is no other PC Civil War game that does it better.
