Too much. Laggy as hell. Pacing. Waves upon waves upon waves.... break it up some. And if you thought Katarina was useless as anything but a ghost mode buffer, then it is even worse now.
Too much shopping and resource management. I appreciate trying to pack in a bunch of content but...daaaang. Too much is as bad as too little.
Just makes the game lag so that you get stuck just running around to where your targets were instead of actually hitting them.
Oh yeah. Good luck trying to climb stairs, except when you dont want to.
Too much is as bad as too little. it is better to do less well, than alot of things poorly, or to have so much that it doesn't work.

I dont really buy soundtracks. Even if i like them i always think that its my right to listen to it since i bought the game and every part of it should be for my usage. Sure if the tracks are exceptionally well i might buy them to give the dev a tip but thats about it. I only got this track because it was included in the anthology during a sale.

While the mysterious piano main theme is pretty decent, all the other stuff is serveable at best. Nothing stands out, there arent many tracks either. During my playtrough i only really remember like 3 or 4 tracks and the main battle theme wasnt really cutting it for me.

The soundtrack of van helsing was never something that stood out for me. Its serveable at best. The main piano theme is recognizeable but thats only because its the same track remixed over and over again until i cant stand to hear it anymore.
Not recommended to buy the soundtrack.

An absolute masterpiece for it's dark fantasy-magic-steampunk-gothic themed genre. However, the first Van Helsing title had the more memorable tracks, which I had to extract from the game installation folder, which are freely accessible as lose mp3 files, but unnamed and unsorted.

It's ok. I'm going to assume you WANT to buy the soundtrack based on your experience in the game. For you, I'll briefly review the state the soundtrack comes in. The soundtrack has both mp3 320kbps and FLAC(600-900kbps). Neither of them come with proper metadata, album art or even composer tags. It takes about 10 mins to slap on the metadata so I hope this gets fixed in the future. Just album art, composer ID, Album title, track title and track no. tags.
Now, if you want an opinion on the soundtrack. The soundtrack itself is alright-good. You have to remember the game style it came from. Lots of repeating sets and ambience. It's a hack and slash game (akin to Diablo) that lets the player take as long as they want. In that vein, I think the visuals helped define the game more than the soundtrack. The soundtrack is fitting, and does flesh out a steampunk/magic-industrial fantasy edge the game has, but falls short of being unique and memorable.
Favourite track: Old Caves

Soundtrack is good, but mp3 bitrate is only 128 kbps (i am in 1998?). Hope this game will be available in some new humblebundle with proper lossles audio.
