pretty realistic and fun survival game, singleplayer or multiplayer. a little buggy. i would personally wait for the sequel though 7/10

A truly great experience played with my other half, we had the most amazing time surviving, building up and then thriving in the pacific islands...we didn't want it to end

pretty fun with friends, goofy animations, but really buggy

i wanted a survival game and this one was great but i kinda suck im on my third try theres a tutorial to help you survive the first bit 5/5 stars would recommend

Its glitchy especially on Coop, but a fun and engaging game. I quite enjoy it. Good time waster!

General synopsis: Early game review. Growth is slow, and a bit linear, but it's realistic. Stranded Deep is a survival with much more real concepts and limits. The music and ambient design is great. I keep confusing the controls, and it causes some frustration- but that's on me for playing on controller. Bugs: There are some minor bugs I run into a lot during gameplay, or also when hunting for them. Empty coconut husks being turned into a pile makes the whole pile drinkable again. There's some multiplication glitches if you mess with the menus. Some are much more minor like the character not aligning with ladders in animation when climbing, or there being no way of knowing durability of tools or when they break until after the fact. Thoughts: The game is fun and is one of my favorite survival sims. Some of the glitches require some brain power to actively deny, due to the slow growth in a game. The concept of island-hopping and exploring is fun and offers an interesting way to obtain resources. Not perfect, and graphically can be challenging sometimes, but very fun and immersive. When played as intended, I find this game more enjoyable when looking for something realistic. Recommended.

There is a calming effect of this game, a good simulation of what it might be like stranded on an island. It's definitely tapping into some sort of primal urge to just be living on an island after your plane crashed. Relaxing but also stressful. Death is just stepping on some wacky purple thing that washed up on your island and not being able to create an antidote with a pipi plant, OR getting eaten by a shark. TS IS REAL

There are better and more polished survival games out there. I keep coming back to try this thinking they've made improvements, but it's still a pretty rough game even after so many years.

Not really fun. Inventory space is awful, you have to drop things all the time in order to switch what item you're holding.

Still feels like a beta at best. Buggy, abandoned POS, discarded for a sequel that's dead before it even gets off of the ground. Subnautica, Raft, or something else is infinitely more playable and enjoyable.
