Cute 2D Iron Lung, more like an art project for a little twist at the end, it's extremely short. I do like the game actually, at least on the conceptual level, the main reason the review is negative is because I think it needs some QOL adjustments and a few patches to fix occasional glitches, and to be honest I think the game missed some really nice opportunities, I think the dev could have done a lot more with it.
It's actually only 5 to 10 minutes long, there should be a few optional endings but I could not figure out how to trigger them, aside from the default one you get at the end. As these games usually go you in some strange place, operating a machine or 'mech' in this case with limited visibility. Inside the mech you can do some simple actions like crafting ammo, rotating the hud, moving forward and recording the life forms. Given the low $2 price of the game I don't want to complain about length, it's more so that I feel the part of the game where you discover creatures could have been a lot more fun if it kept going for at least 20 minutes.
The atmosphere and the mood were done relatively well, good choices of sound effects overall, that said, considering that you working with a simple art style, I wish there was a bit more visual feedback, you could have done a lot more with it, more creatures, maybe a few more locations, or perhaps some events inside the mech.

(+) I really liked the idea and the simple visuals, Iron Lung with 2D pictures pretty much, it's very cute, I just wish you would have done more with it, right now it comes across as an artistic idea more so than a start to finish game. Kinda feels like it's only there to have that funky ending.
(+) The mood and the tension were handled decently, but again, the game needed a bit more time to build it
(+) Apparently there are multiple endings, I could not find them, but according to the game there should be a few more

- Sometimes the cursor stays hidden after crafting
- Maybe a better description for what the front of the mech looks like on the map, I thought it was the other end. Why does it say that I found all creatures even if I didn't?
- I am not sure why the game keeps telling me to look up when I did everything, most of the game too
- You should be able to disable tutorial notes, no tutorial mode
- I just felt like the game needed more time, maybe more creatures and more zones, a few more events in the mech
- Unclear how to get the other endings, not sure when to use pistol as well
Overall Thoughts: 5/10
I did enjoy the game for $2, but there were a lot of small things that annoyed me as I kept replaying it. If you make it a bit more intuitive and fix the glitches I think it's a nice little art project, not exactly a full game, although if you wanted, you probably could make it into one. I really wish it was a little longer, I mean it's only like 5 minutes so... You doing a good job with a mood, but it ends so fast you don't get to enjoy that atmosphere.
