Amazingly atmospheric, I knew I would enjoy this game just from the store page, but once I launched it I truly fell for it. The world is dark and gritty and just asks to be explored. I can't recommend this game enough.

Cool little collectathon/exploration sim built by a solo dev who is very friendly and open to creative feedback. Gameplay and vibe are both somewhat similar to BABBDI, which is free, so play that first if you're on the fence about buying and see if you think it's for you.

A dark, eerie exploration game that brings to mind Babbdi and the dingy, industrial parts of Dusk (sadly, you can't use the shotgun). Great surreal vibes.

This is the kind of game that won't be for everyone, but it's totally worth giving it a shot. Especially for the price tag. If you're the kind of person who likes odd and unique experiences you only see in the indie game scene, and you don't mind a bit of jank, you'll be right at home here.
The main goal of concrete is to explore a selection of pretty large and densely decorated levels in search of these "mysterious" statues. I still don't really know what the statues are even after completing everything the game has to offer, but there's hints throughout that point to some sort of backstory and lore behind it all.
It's usually not as simple as just walking around and finding the statues however, as there are loads of little environmental puzzles you'll need to complete in order to reach them. These range from finding passcodes in notes to unlock new areas, throwing a bottle at a target to activate a trap door, or even using a crowbar to smash the wooden planks off of a barred door. The puzzles are nicely integrated into the whole game often using the physics objects as tools to proceed which is fun (kinda like Half-Life 2). They start to get a bit repetitive towards the end of the game, but this is a relevantly short experience so thankfully they don't overstay their welcome in my view.
There's lots of additional content too like collectables to find in hidden areas of the map, minigames to unlock, and a bunch of achievements to aim for. If you only want to find the statues and experience the main game, you can expect a couple hours of playtime and totally could finish it in one decent session. For completionists there's a bit more to chew on and you could add another couple hours playtime on top of that (like me).
The visual style is also really well done, with great sound design and a thick atmosphere. This is probably one of it's strongest aspects.
I wish the game ran a little better in the city level where I had a few frame drops, but other than that it performances decently. That sewer level was super dark and a bit of a maze too which got confusing at times. I did run into a couple bugs, but looking at the recent patch notes they seem to be fixed which is good to see.
Overall an interesting game, and I'm glad it took a chance on it. If you want to try something a bit weird and have a couple hours and dollars to spare, this would be a great option.

cool game, really like how it looks and feels to play. The graphics are like a sort of retro playstation aesthetic which combined with the fog and large levels make for a tense mood and atmosphere. I was expecting more of a horror kind of game with scares and all of that, but this is definitely leaning more into the quiet (almost chill??) exploration and atmospheric side of things, which I actually ended up quite liking too. It has really nice sound too, all the objects you can move around make different sounds when they are chucked around and walked over which helps with getting you sucked into the deserted world. Big fan of the red computer interface too and all the corporate speak, like the fake terms and conditions at the start.
I had a good time going around finding statues and reading the lore. It does feels a little cobbled together and I wish there was a bit more to the story side of things (the set up was really interesting for the world, but it doesn't go too much further than a interesting concept).
overall I liked Concrete a lot for what it is. Haven't seen everything the game has to offer yet, there's still a bunch of achievements I want to try get, but it's fun so far. Saw this game on instagram and I'm glad I did because I wouldn't have found it otherwise. I bought it for 80% off on sale, but I would have happily paid full price too
