I've never been into Parkour games or writing steam reviews for that matter, so here I am writing a steam review of a parkour game. What I am into is quality video games, with heaps of potential, and Storror Parkour Pro is THAT and then some. Sure it's got some jank, it's early access and that comes with the turf. The devs are communicating solid plans for challenges, enhanced city life and loads loads more. But, despite it's early state, Storror Parkour Pro is fun as hell and almost as pretty as my first gf. But despite everything I've just said, if Storror doesn't get a replay editor, I'll do a complete 180 😉 Go get it and start having fun.

Overpriced for what it is but the developers are consistent and seem to have a great vision for the game. Physics are good but can be janky, though much improved from previous versions. If rooftops and Alleys is too arcadey for you this may be for you, however this game is currently far less polished than even the early versions of rooftops and alleys.

This game is really fun! I also have another game called Rooftops and Alleys. If you dont know, its another parkour game made by a SINGLE developer. SPP (Storror parkour pro) is very fun but gets boring after a little. I just got it yesterday and played over 2.4 hours on it so far. Would i recommend this game. Yes. Would I STRONGLY recommend this game. No. This is my opinion but i think rooftops and alleys is overall a better game. Dont get me wrong this game is a really good parkour game. Rooftops mostly gets more players in Multiplayer and SPP dose not. Also the game can get buggy at times. Mostly in tutorial but other than that I still enjoyed the game. Would I say its worth $25? No. I think the price should be lower but the game is realistic so i guess the price is ok. Hope this review helped you.

I've played for only about an hour but im able to give a pretty accurate review. I will be playing this again but right not there just isn't much there to play. The open world is nice, your not forced to be in certain areas of the map because the devs want you to. With that being said, there are only three areas that you can explore so i would like to see more areas added in the future. The graphics are amazing if your PC can handle high/ultra settings. They got that pretty spot on. The controls are a bit wonky but once you get used to the idea of an action queue then it becomes easier to time moves with obstacles. In this state i honestly don't think it's worth 24.99. maybe 15 -20 but i understand that it's early access and that funding is necessary to progress the development of the game. I also like what missions there are. They are both challenging but not impossible. Really looking forward to future updates on the game. I will put recommend but only because I know there is a solid foundation here for a really good game in the future. Will update this review as game is updated.

I'm having an absolute blast playing this game, but I am an ex parkour athlete trying to live vicariously through a video game. It's absolutely NOT a complete game yet, but they add an instant replay so i can film some lines like the good old days, im absolutely set. Controls are hard but if you stick with it, super rewarding when you figure out how it works. Love work so far and i can't put it down even in its current state, and every time i do come back to it, I learn something new. Ability to customise your controls would be nice though So far ive not seen any bugs other than the odd occasion clipping into a wall or something if i fell awkwardly, but ive seen worse in Skate tbh and never even thought about it playing that. The way i see this game is more "Skate for parkour" rather than "mirrors edge but better". Its as much about building lines and perfecting them as it is about quickly traversing a city like your Ezio. So please for the love of god, give us a replay function so we can make edits.

I will review this as what it is, an early access game. If you expect a fully polished experience, and don't like the fact that it is a work in progress, I would advise you to wait a bit longer until the development is in a further stage. I get that a lot of people don't like Early Access, but some dev teams just need it in order to further work on the game, finance it and improve the game. A lot of great games started off in Early Access! However, if you can look past some work in progress I would recommend it, and here is why. I was playing alone for a bit, getting used to the controls, doing some of the challenges, taking in the environment and I was enjoying myself. The challenges are really fun but of course there aren't that many yet. It was fun for a bit, but I felt like I was missing something. I looked if I could find any other players online, and I joined a random person. This is where the game will really shine IMO. We could not communicate, we don't know each other, but as soon as we saw each other we started running together, doing parkour and it was such a blast. I can only compare this feeling to one other game which I miss dearly, Skate 3. I honestly believe this game can push that to another level if it's done right. Just vibing with you friends or random people online, creating cool lines, hit epic spots, challenge each other, I did not expect it but the early access is giving me a taste of this, and I can't wait for more of it. The controls feel very overwhelming when you play the game for the first time. You really need to get used to the delay and the rhythm in which you need to fire your inputs, but once you get the hang of it, you can really start to flow. It definitely still needs work, but I am sure this will still get a lot of attention. The atmosphere, the environment, the graphics and the art style are really nice. I love that they are going for a more grimy, grungy texture style and not just clean realism, personally, I would like to see that pushed a but more but Its a nice balance atm. Some things I would love to see in the full game: - Stick it challenge or something alike (Like game of Skate, doing a sick line or trick that the other need to complete as well) - More flips so you can do a long line of flips. (this is probably already in the backlog) - Clan/Crew/Team/Brand setup so you can create your own brand with your custom clothing customization. Maybe even do challenges against other teams. - Sandbox environment, so you can place your own obstacles or build your own park with fences, cars, poles, benches, ramps, AC units and so on...

This game just keeps getting better and better. The initial launch I struggled to play due to the optimisation issues but as far as 'early access' goes they continuously improve the game and take on player feedback. It's great to see as many early access games never get worked on. The game plays great on my steam deck and I'm excited for every update. The moveset is alot of fun and I love trying to complete a challenging line. I've had hours of fun and they haven't even added everything they have been working on yet. It's only up for this game

The potential for a really solid parkour game is here and this could be Rooftops & Alleys or Mirror's Edge on steroids. But unfortunately, it's in a pretty rough state and is severely held back by several fundamental issues, causing it to be a painfully mediocre and unnecessarily tedious experience. I decided to ignore the negativity around this and play for myself, especially because of the summer sale discount and I also read reviews claiming it's not as bad as people say. But now I understand why it's mixed.
Controls
This is perhaps the biggest criticism of the game and I have to agree. It's clear this is something that needs to be taken back to the drawing board and redone from the ground up. From the offset in the tutorial, as it was being explained, I found myself questioning the logic of certain keybinds and the ludicrous allocation of separate movement functions into separate keys. This latter point makes attempting to fix the former pointless, because no matter if you rebind keys, you will still be dealing with the untintuitive movement control regardless. I understand the devs want numerous different functions on separate keybinds to allow for perhaps greater freedom and precision in the freeruning but, in practice, it's actually a hindrance and inhibits that freedom. An example of this is having separate functions for vaulting, jumping and climbing- all of which are arguably the same upward type of movement. This could be simplified and streamlined by making all these movements on the same key, such as space bar (which I fully expected), yet we're stuck with space bar for jumping gaps, literally holding right mouse and "flicking" the mouse simultaneously to vault (hope you don't have carpal tunnel) which, by the way, completely prevents camera movement while you're doing this, and lastly, for whatever reason, F to climb (really? F?). It's obvious to me these are not game developers, because a game developer would play-test this convoluted control scheme and realize it's terrible, especially for a game all about movement. It's like these devs prioritize creating a plethora of illogical controls because all they can think about is the style points and not the practical aspect of it. I won't even get into the other controls that don't make sense, like holding Q and E to stick a landing.
Responsiveness
To me, this is just as bad, if not worse, than the controls. In a parkour game, when you're moving around at break-neck speed, you necessarily must have immediate or near-instant feedback with your inputs. When you press a key to do something, that thing should be done quickly. But in STORROR, there's a nebulous delay with every single thing you do. This, in turn, leads to constant stoppage in the parkour. Bumping into obstacles, failing to jump in time, etc. This is actually game-ruining problem for me because there's no way to overcome the input lag and feedback delay except through coding and engine modification, which is dev's responsibility.
Technical
Lastly, the game is not optimized well and this goes back to the devs not being game developers. There's a general sense of "jank" as you play and this ranges from conspicuous LOD pop-in, graphical anamolies, inconsistent frame rate and downright ridiculous character animations. It is painfully clear that STORROR needs much more time in the oven.
Conclusion
I would not recommend buying this right now, and definitely not at full price. Wait and see how it develops, especially if the above issues get addressed properly. On the surface, it looks fun and the marketing for it is very attractive. But I promise, if you're a PC gamer who is used to a minimum standard of quality then you will be woefully disappointed. Keep an eye on it until the devs overcome their own incompetence. Once again, a subpar product takes advantage of the "early access" title in order to dodge accountability for incompetence and flaws. P.S. Do yourself a huge favor and turn off the music. Dear devs, no one listens to garbage urban cockney rap. It's complete trash.
