It has the quaint charm of the old Harry Potter games on the PC, where you got oddly hooked on trying to find every last little secret passage and treasure in the game's whimsical world. Even the soundtrack reminds me greatly of those old games and the amazing ambience they had. Aside from the nostalgia there's loads of things to try here, almost all of them brimming with a magical sense of chaos. Supe up your spell power to turn your every spell into a castle clearing burst, or perhaps shrink the school's defense systems to the point their attacks do no damage. Heck, you could even reach the map's sky box by chugging several enhanced jump potions in a row, just bear in mind how you're going to land... I eagerly await what new madness and magic the developers are whipping up for this game. At ten bucks this is a steal.

I love it for all the wrong reasons. It's like first HP games, but with sandbox and gruesome deaths. And you can cast spells on whatever you want, however you want. I did not know I needed it, but here I am. Brought here by a strange man from Wexford.

Ok so i actually really enjoyed the game but i encountered a game breaking bug so i dont know how this happened but somehow the pickup button got replaced with the consume button so whenever i wanted to pick something up i would instead eat it like i tried to pick a rubber duck up but i instead ate it Edit: Fixed the problem apparently i bought an item called "metal jaws" and that made the eating problem i dont know if its supposed to do that but it might be a bug my review is now positive

Surprisingly exciting, with lots to explore and discover. I didn't think I'd have as much fun with it as I did, but they really did a good job of making it feel like you're exploring a giant Hogwarts-esque castle, with all kinds of stuff to find and do. The one thing I'd recommend new players do is to look into the potion-making system. It's pretty creative and has lots of possibilities, and it really expands whatever you can do in the game. Beyond that, I'd just say give the game a go: I think you'll really like it! Highly recommended! I'll be waiting for it's early access updates!

This game is a great burst of a few hours of silly secret agent fun. I look forward to seeing Wizard Boy's future endeavors!!! (The potion system seems really cool, even if I just steal all of mine.)

As someone who grew up on the harry potter computer games but will not give the franchise my money, this game has given me more serotonin than all of my anti-depressants combined. This is truly the way the wizarding world was meant to be. With so much potential for future content, I cannot wait to see what this game becomes once fully fleshed out.

Ever come across a game that caters to your tastes so well that it seems like it was developed specifically for you? I was (and still am) a huge fan of the early Harry Potter PC releases. This game *nails* the presentation. I want to call attention to a few elements I spotted because the designer clearly had an eye for detail: - Whimsical music with comfy brass parts (the dungeon music definitely takes inspiration from the gnome tune) - The sort of crappy water texture used in Philosopher's Stone which I saw in the quad - The ambience; beautiful stone and mahogany corridors with blue windows (special mention to one area in particular that looks exactly like the corridor outside DADA in Philosopher's Stone with the stairs emerging in the middle of the room) - The character animations; even the player walking backwards is spot on - The letterbox effect and blue serif font whenever you approach a character to talk - Bounce pads are most certainly a replacement for the Spongify tiles - Possibly a stretch, but the death sound is suspiciously like the sigh that gnomes make after you defeat them The game itself is really fun, and hilarious at how much you can mess around to achieve your goals. Other reviews have put this better than I can. But I wanted to bring special attention to the clear love of the early HP games that the dev has, because only someone who really 'gets' what made them so great could pull this tribute off. Bravo.

Woah, you hit your head pretty hard there. Huh? Microtransactions? Live service games? Balance patches? What are you talking about? It's Summer 2004 and we just found out how to completely break this new wizard game. It's awesome! Come on, let's go have some fun!
