"We have removed the App."
...What this turned out to be was all around disappointing.
The DOOM community took them to task for their dubious practices in re-packaging the DOOM-based freewares 'Odamex' and 'FreeDoom', and they have shuddered the "game app" in a few day's time.
What 'Zuganex' promised was a matchmaking service for DOOM deathmatch for users who aren't able to play the re-master due to its ridiculously arbitrary & downright criminal OS requirements.
('Orchestrated Obsolescence' is NOT progress.)
Sadly, while Zuganex delivered on that service with full front-end functionality, the servers did NOT offer any classic deathmatch or co-op play -- but a ramshackle cycling of "custom play" ideas that were not fun & did not pass muster.
It was an idea. Maybe not a 'good idea', but it had promise & the software functioned excellently.
