I'm big fan of 2.5D, but trying to mold that into an Action RPG makes it rough to play and not particularly fun overall. Its still a nice attempt.

It's a decent time, sorta like Heroes of Hammerwatch. The graphic design is pleasant. Gameplay is fun with seemingly a fair bit of variety in build choice and skills. There's a few criticisms I couldn't help but feel need some attention. The ramp up in the last area is obscene and seemingly only in damage received, so it's not actually more difficult, just annoying. Simple mobs will go from doing 20-30 damage in the second to last area, to 150 in the last area out of nowhere, and you will probably have only ~600 health or so. And there are lots of mobs. This was my first death only because I was taken completely off guard. Up until that point, it had been far too easy. I never came close to death or really needing to strategize at all, then suddenly dying in 3-4 hits. There's gotta be a middleground somewhere. Death and restarting isn't very fun which is an obvious issue in a rougelike. Upgrading the perks and stashing gear for the next run is all good. But the map doesn't change and bosses don't respawn. That's an issue as bosses were good sources of EXP, gear, and goalposts to break monotony. Also the collectible, sometimes hidden shrines are the same and remain unlocked, deincentivizing re-exploring. The only other thing to do is dungeons and those get far too repetitive and dull to be the meat of the game. I beat all bosses and discovered most shrines on my first run, so there was nothing to look forward to on subsequent runs. The town and gold feel largely pointless. Gear upgrading would go a long way. Apparently there are town portals a la Diablo, but I have no idea how to get them. Overall worth 4 bucks despite some questionable moments/design, though I wouldn't say it is brimming with replayability. The gameplay is fun enough, but due to the lack of things to do on new runs, the desire to play again rests on just wanting to experience the gameplay again, and it isn't quite enough for that. If it costs any more, I would not recommend but for 4 dollars you can get some fun hours out of it.

Really fun and a good amount of content for a measly 4$. worth it for the money it is. its a game made by one guy, its not studio made. this game also get updated fairly often adding new areas, bosses, enemies, and classes. so theres some decent replayability. Again, its 4$. As someone else in the reviews "its the price of a cup of coffee"

Good lord please make it so you can turn off the the dogs whining from the Good Boy! perk. It is very obnoxious hearing it whine for no reason (that I am aware of) every like 15 seconds. I regret taking this perk. Other than that game is good obviously still a work in progress but fun mindless rogue-lite.

Cute little game. I got it on sale and it was worth the inexpensive price. $3 I will say that the perma-death is a mistake for a fun little game. The game is just for fun and if you have to go back and start over it sort of makes you wonder if you should bother.

I like the game overall but I beat the TIer 1 difficulty on the first try. I used entirely passive skills and a bow, it seemed pretty OP. I tried a caster and wanted to go minions but Raise Zombie (even leveled it to 5) was awful. The archer seems far and away the best build and doesn't even need active abilities. I imagine buffing the key passives to level 5 and running that build would beat all content.
