Well, who would have thought judging from the screenshots? This game is an epic masterpiece that will entertain you for 90 hours, the only downside being that you have to replace "hours" with "minutes". Loot an empty castle. That's all you need to know, because that's all the game has to offer in terms of story and NPC dialogues. Back to the roots, concentrating on the essentials - what a great design choice. Even the many spelling mistakes are probably a deliberate tribute to dubious translations of JRPGs in the 90s. The game even features 3 different endings, all fitting in a single text box. This streamlining, this distillation to the extreme - simply magnificent. The game is so great that it practically plays itself, since physical classes don't have any skills (normal attacks for the win). Finally, there's a developer that knows that we don't need all this useless stuff in RPGs. Why bother with experience points? All party members start and stay at level 1, because monsters don't yield EXP. They don't drop Gold or other items either. What a fun way to focus on the essentials. A friend of mine once said: "I can't get it up without level-up." So yeah, anyone who doesn't like this game has a limp d*ck. And when I say that the game practically plays itself, that includes the relaxing battles against pushover enemies, because the wise developer had the foresight to make all enemies weak, so that all the limp d*ck parties can handle them. Another wise choice of the developer was not to spend any money on any add-ons etc. related to RPG Maker MV. This strategy, combined with the low price, guarantees a maximum of profit. Of course, under these circumstances, playtesting wasn't an option, so we even get the whole kaleidoscope of bugs, but as we know, bugs are actually features, right? So rejoice, we get game-breaking bugs (don't enter the hole in the sewers - there's no way out), a lot of obstruction mapping errors (which let the player walk through stuff that should be solid), obtained items that aren't added to the inventory, opened treasure chests that don't remain open, enemies that don't have matching on-field sprites (approach a bat to fight rats) - the whole shebang. Since it's possible to reach the game's ending, maybe the developer did a bit of playtesting, and just the right amount. I can't help but admire the cost-benefit ratio here. I don't know how Steam and its users handle irony/sarcasm in reviews, so if the "not recommended" rating didn't give it away, let me say it loud and clear: This is the worst JRPG that I've ever played, avoid it at all costs. If you want to waste 90 minutes, watch your favorite sports team lose miserably instead - it's still more fulfilling than playing this game.
