I'll try to give a quick dive on Deep Down since I think i'm the first review. Ultimately I give it a thumbs-down, which is more of a "Not ready yet" for the price. Here's a rundown on the bugs I've found so far: - Several pickaxe recipes are incorrect, but was able to figure them out over time - Colt gun recipe is incorrect, couldn't figure out how to make it - When you exit the game, my headlamp disappeared - When you exit the game, the forge / alloy combiner both had to be unlocked again with resources - You can click and manipulate the HP bar (doesn't seem to affect anything, just odd) Those are the basic bugs that aren't huge deal-breakers, can still play the game and play around them fairly easily once you expect them. However, there are two purposeful mechanics and one bug that make the game unplayable at this time, IMO. The two mechanics are: 1. You can't sleep to end the day until 2000. The reason this is an issue, is that at this time there aren't a ton of things to do each day. Once you have the rhythm of the game, which for most ppl will probably be between day 5 and 10, you can be done with the day around noon. Each in-game hour takes 39 seconds. So there are plenty of days you have nothing to do but wait for 5 straight minutes doing nothing. After a few days of this, it weighs on the want to continue. The mechanic isn't inherently bad, but i'd bring it back to maybe 1600 to shave some of the waiting time down. 2. A smaller complaint about another mechanic is due to the Buying / Selling on the market. Every single ore that can be turned into ingot, the difference between selling it as the ore and selling it as an ingot is 2 dollars, coins, whatever the currency is called. There are a ton of ore in the game that take quite a bit of time just to convert 1 ore into 1 ingot. The time it takes to mine that ore, vs the time it takes to smelt it into ingot, is nowhere near worth just 2 extra currency. Eventually you'll just skip smelting anything at all, and sell everything as ore. My suggestion would create a system to upgrade your smelter to go faster, or create more ingot, something. 3. The bug that completely kills this game, is that when you exit the game / go back to the main screen and then continue your game...the cave system RNG obviously resets back to day 1. The entire premise of the game is that the cave's are procedurally generated, which is great. But it also has a system that incrementally makes the caves harder and harder, while still being procedurally generated. Again, great system. But, I got to day 15 on my first playthrough and was in large caves, lot of enemies, later game ore, etc. When I logged out and back in, I was back to day 1 caves, just stone with a sprinkle of ore here and there, no enemies. I played for another 8 in-game days, never saw another enemy, the caves slowly got larger and more diverse with ore again. If I know my cave is going to reset to day 1, the game is unplayable. Until that is fixed, you cannot play this game, IMO. Also, for what is available so far, my price suggestion would be closer to $2 or $3. Perhaps if my cave hadn't reset there would be something further I'm unaware of, because there are several late-game ores that have no purpose as of this point, other than to sell for money. But if there is, I haven't found anything to suggest there is anything to do past day 10 to 15-ish in game. Good start though, I can see potential here for fans who enjoy this type of game, such as myself. I really hope to see some updates. *quick edit. I went and looked at the developer. Seems to be a trend of making quick, cheap games for $5 or $6 that don't perform very well. Considering this was released almost 8 months ago, and they've got another game on the way, I doubt we'll be seeing much in the way of updates here. Hopefully I'm wrong.
