Rude dev who refuses to add any type of save or progress system in the game. Cant close the game or you lose everything. Cant progress to new areas without losing everything you work for even it it takes you hours. There is no meta upgrade system or meta progression in place at all. The only time you make progress is on the battle field when choosing upgrades. If you leave battle.... your hard work like buffs, skills, equipment/weapons, spells and items are gone. There is nothing to work for at all except a rinse repeat level that is slightly harder. But again....if you get to the harder level...you start fresh with nothing after hours of grinding already, all the while never closing the game. If you need to go away from the game for awhile you have to leave it up and running on pause because the game doesnt save on closing it. Worst part is the developer's attitude. A fellow player went to Discord to speak to the dev about the lack of common sense missing from this game. A game that looked so great, but had issues that would kill it's sales if things werent changed. The developers response was: "Honestly, I dont plan on taking this game much further. I am working on a new game at the moment, and funding the new game with the proceeds earned from Chaos Caster." There you have it folks....your money will be wasted...tread lightly.

Whenever I play Chaos Caster, I feel like inside mysterious dungeon. It´s authentic, dangerous, adventurous and the action is gradually rising. From the very beginning, the game was a bit difficult for me as I don´t usually play rogue-like games. But after a few minutes, I understood some game mechanics and found mighty synergies, how to combine the four elements. I must say that I couldn´t even believe, how addictive I became to this game :D First two failed runs throughout the game led me to motivation and inspiration - how could I improve my strategy? So definitely it´s also a logical game. I enjoyed it and I highly recommend it for gamers, who love the fusion of multigenre in indie games.

Not my favourite genre of games, but i was pleasantly surprised by both game mechanics and visul style. Definitely looking forward to seeing if my clumsy hands can handle higher difficulties. First playthrough was very fun.

We've survived the centuries of perpetual roguelike definition wars...here is one with no metaprogression and interesting mechanics that may scratch that itch for fans of Isaac and Gubgeon I said Gungeon...Plays well once I got to grips with remembering which spell does witch. There is indeed no save but the runs are indeed short and you do unlock things through victories to an extent which is as yet unknown to me.
It's a struggle if you're an idiot
First of all, I'm not really a dungeon crawler player and it showed. The game actually gives you information about everything, but my ADHD dumb ahh said sometimes you have to run before you walk, so I ignored any text and went with trial and error method instead. The gameplay itself is pretty simple, unfortunately so am I and at times it made me question if I'm not missing a chromosome or two. After the never-ending cycle of dying, starting over, dashing straight into every single enemy and taking millions of billions of damage in return, thinking I finally understand the game only to die in the very next room, I achieved an epic victory royale at last. Only to find out there are 15 more difficulties... I didn't play the game, the game played me, 10/10 experience. Reasons to buy this game: - you enjoy 2D dungeon crawler games - you like supporting indie developers and think any game over 10€ is a sign of corporate greed - you believe moon landing was fake
