Crimzon Clover WORLD IGNITION - Soundtrack Steam Charts & Stats

Good overall soundtrack that fits the game well. Not perfect as it sometimes has what sounds like the same quality issues as the game has in certain tracks, particularly the title/main menu music. Minor complaints to me though, not enough to say don't buy. Recommend this one over the AST-if you're going to buy one of the 2 soundtracks for the game, buy this one.

CRIMZON MOTHERF**KKIN' CLOVER! Of course I recommend this OST! Fantastic trip for one of the best STGs in ages. Transparent Stream (Stage 3), and stages 4-5 tunes are really really good too.

Great music, disappointing quality though. If you buy the Arranged soundtrack DLC you get both high quality lossless and 320k mp3s. For this original soundtrack, ALL you get are 128k mp3s. edit - apparently the composer lost the high quality original source files which must be disappointing for them so it's not their fault.

It's a great soundtrack, but it's in 128kbps and I can hear the bass and the highs being wobbly from the lower bitrate forcing the mp3 codec to cut into range of hearing that humans can commonly hear. That's how mp3 works, the lower the bitrate the more the human hearing range of the audio gets affected. This is why 320kbps is the norm for downloadable versions of mp3s, it barely cuts into the human hearing range, and 64/128kbps is the lowest setting on music streaming since the person would be sacrificing quality to accomodate their internet connection lacking. I thought that this DLC might have given a higher quality version than the one the game uses, as is common when buying video game soundtracks, but this is just outright cheap. It's a soundtrack, I expect soundtrack quality. While I love the soundtrack overall, I cannot recommend someone buying this DLC when it's the same thing the game offers AND is 128kbps bitrate when this is supposed to be something you listen to outside the game. At least the game itself has enough going on to mask the lower quality of the songs, but it doesn't help here, and neither does the money I paid for it. Recommend to listen to if you just need some background music and have other stuff going on, otherwise it's a no go because the publisher could definitely have given us something more than lower quality for a "soundtrack".
