This is... fine. For a buck and a half, I can't hate on it too much. But it's very threadbare overall, and when you walk around the character will just... stop? at random. Really couldn't get into it. It just didn't feel intuitive and fun to play.
Won't pretend I spent a ton of time playing it but a lack of XP/level-up structure really robs the game of a certain sense of progress that I think you really need. It feels like a really great proof of concept but not a particularly satisfying game.
The battle graphics are cute and honestly pretty great, that art style is enjoyable but the overworld/exploration map is janky looking and just meh.
No disrespect meant whatsoever, I'm sure it took a ton of hard work and skill to build, but just didn't enjoy it, even for $1.50.
