If the category "kinetic novel" wasn't already taken, then this game would be a good candidate. The art and animation is propulsive. Comic book frames-within-frames burst forward, lines of rain squiggle down, a camera pans up in three dramatic motions... all rendered in high-contrast, colorful screens. I enjoyed the structures of the game, too, with pretty much every choice leading to a different ending. They're all worth finding, whether it's to see the player character die in a multitude of ways or make it out of a pouring storm and a night filled with strange encounters. The writing is consistent and makes good on the idea that the player character is, for the most part, a bystander caught up in events. The player decides if they're more active or passive, ethical or pathetic. Take a spin and see all the ways the story can go for yourself.

Brilliant game. Great writing, fantastic art, gripping story that reminds me of Scorsese's After Hours. Lots of talent in this game, short but intense!

Worth it for the art alone (although wondering why Artyom Trakhanov's is not named in the game credits?) but is also accompanied by atmospheric audio and a strong narrative tone. I was kind of eh on some of the writing but overall an enjoyable experience. (Can I just ask, why is it so hard to go home?? haha)
