Wacky Fun. Becomes quite addictive trying to improve and mess around with all the bonus characters and weapons. Excited to try it as couch co-op with some friends

A more modern version of the Road Rash series, Road Redemption brings back the vibe of American Biker Gang action with more characters, bikes, weapons and passive skills. Some might hate the gamble system, but that also improves the replay value (where winning gives more rewards, losing causes penalty and dying have everything stripped away from you). Campaigns are a bit repetitive, but difficulty is randomized, so every playthrough could offer different experience. For an action racing game, Road Redemption, approved!

This is a pretty fried moto combat rougelike where you pretty much just beat the snot out of everyone around you and unlock stuff to pretty much just beat the snot out of more people. 10/10 Would recommend.

I won't get a refund because I spent like 5 bucks, but this game tries to be Road Rash and fails miserably. You could win by racing and only racing back then. Nitrous was a thing only in the Diablo bikes, the fastest ones. I played RR on Sega, PC and N64 and this is very combat heavy and the last levels are infuriating. There isn't even a speedometer, so yeah, vehicle combat, but the racing part really isn't there. Also talk about the insane amount of nitrous you need to catch up, beat up people, then restart. Awful.

Great for split screen co-op, fun as just a single player game too!

This is a game where I wish reviews were based on a point system instead of Like or Not. Road Redemption will be most appealing probably to fans of the old Road Rash games. There's little variety to the tracks, and the music is blah; definitely play this to your own music in the background. The gameplay isn't perfect, but it's at least fun, even if it does get tedious after a bit; the game is best played in short pick up and play bursts. Combat is fun, with a variety of weapons to pick up and use (blunt, blades, explosives, guns, etc), in addition to being able to grab, kick, and deflect. In between levels you can spend earned cash to replenish health, armor, nitro, or to level up certain things for your run. At the end you are then able to apply points to a permanent skill tree.

bought to play with friends the lack of ability to host a lobby of only us and the NPCs without utilizing remoteplay is frustrating. having couch co-op is a nice feature, not having an online that functions in the same way is not

Maybe I just remember Road Rash being better than it actually was. I played the hell out of that game. I think for me the problem is in the gameplay loop. It didn't "feel" like a death race. It kept throwing odd "missions" at me that didn't really fit the theme. Having to take out a gang leader is one thing, but having to kill X amount of a group, or perform X maneuver so many times took it out of being a fight for survival and just made it a stereotypical arcade button basher. The "race" felt like an afterthought. And if you expect a sort of proper physics, forget about it. I purchased this when it was on sale for 2.99 and still refunded it. I just had no desire to keep it.
