"Totally Accurate Battle Simulator" control with only 4 simultaneous heroes. just as tedious has Stick War Legacy WITHOUT THE GOLD COLLECTING UPGRADE! Onslaught may bug out and last longer.
It not bad, it cheese resistant make victory a slow teeth pulling (happy wind is it done horrified when you have to do it again)

Man I wish I had better things to say about this game.
I adored the original Stick War games so I was really excited to see this but it's....quite rough.
Units can't be upgraded as you progress through the campaign.
You do have a skill tree, but it has very little in the way of meaningful upgrades and only one or two unit upgrades rather than letting you upgrade all of your units like the legacy games.
The game has two difficulties; referred to as Easy and Normal respectively and Normal is awful to play on.
Enemies and the statue have insane health pools when on Normal, meaning you're not facing any extra challenge, just spending a significant amount of extra time chipping away at these health pools.
You can only control the four hero units, and not any of the other units like giants (which is just disappointing) or miners (which would be helpful to accelerate the early game). Your hero units can not die and instead just respawn after a certain amount of time. Enemy hero units are the same way.
The camera is very finicky, making it a bit hard to aim with the archer hero.
Despite having a price tag, the game has free to play cash shop features. Currently, those features ARE disabled, but the infrastructure is there for the shop. It's clear they eventually intend to add a shop you will use real money to buy skins that grant player advantages - which is likely why upgrading units isn't in the game. So they can sell you skins that grant you buffs - similar to how they've done in past games. Granted, the past games were free; so it was more understandable.
The game uses AI voice acting that is very VERY rough around the edges and is quite grating to listen to. Some cutscenes cannot be skipped - and I'm saying that after very little play time. I can't imagine how jarring it is after playing to the end of the campaign.
And finally - it's a very minor nitpick but it really bothers me that the units all have different names. I suppose it HAD to happen due to copyright issues but even having not played the older games in years (probably close to a decade, actually) I can still just feel that the new names aren't right.
Probably the game's greatest positive is easily just how beautifully animated it is. Units move and fight in satisfying ways and have some absolutely gorgeous execution animations as well. The art style is also adapted well to three dimensions, something that is not always handled well.

This is an surprisingly decent game, I used to play stick wars legacy a TON back in the day, so the idea of a 3D stick wars game sounded pretty cool.
From a gameplay perspective, it's very similar to regular stick wars, except instead of being able to select any troop to control, you have four "heros" which you'll unlock as the game goes on.
Aside from that you also have new missions types, such as defending villages, boss fights, ect...
My playthrough was about 15 or so hours (offline play)
My only gripe is that the hero characters control a bit weird, but I got used to it after awhile.
Story wise it's alright, but the voices don't really fit at all tbh.
TLDR: It's a decent purchase for 10$

Idk, I'm a bit disappointed. I can't recommend it. In many ways, it is a downgrade from the original flash games you all probably know and love (Stick War) but there are some nice upsides to this game. So I'm just going to break it down.
Pros:
+ Very VERY smooth and nice animations. The combat cut-scenes and finishers are very well made. And when Giants fight each other, they have their own horizontal swings instead of just hitting the ground like they always do.
+ The boss fights are cool
+ The BGM is ok, I think they might be AI generated.
+ Graphic is pretty nice
+ Story is good enough for a Stick War Game. Basically Thanos and the Avengers.
Cons:
- The gameplay is painful. You get to only control 4 heros. The Swordwrath, Archidon, Spearton and Magikill (I'm sorry the old names stick to me all these times) and don't bother playing the Normal difficulty, it just makes the enemy bullet spongy. Yes that means you can't even control miners and Giants.
- There's no innovation. No new classes. I guess there's block but because of how bullet spongy the enemies are and that your heroes can't die, you just attack spam and shut off your brain. I guess you'll block the occasional arrow.
- NO unit upgrade. I suppose there's unit "customisation" that gives your units extra perks but for now there's only 1 and unlocking them requires gems in a shop that suspiciously looks "free to play, pay to win".
- "Free to play" Shop model in a paid game. Including consumable items and consumable spells.
- AI Generated Voice Acting. I swear there are better AI Generation engines out there. The Voice Acting is painful, it stood out the entire time.
- The Enemy Statute. OH MY GOD THE STATUES. THEY SOAK DAMAGE LIKE NO ONE'S BUSINESS. WATCH THIS VID AND TELL ME THAT THIS ONE SOAKS DAMAGE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sy-C-kqrlXo
- THE SPEARTON CANNOT THROW HIS SPEAR. WHAT THE FUCK.
- You can't call in your troops within fortification and protect them like the old Stick War. Instead an archer tower is present at all times. Whether this is a better decision, I'll let you make the decision but for me, it's removal of a mechanic and so it's a negative from me dawg.
- Upgrades are uninteresting and do not change the way you play to keep gameplay fresh.
- Because of the offset shoulder 3rd person view, the Archidon is painful to play as the shots do not land where the crosshairs are. You can make it work, but come on. In a game where every enemy is a stick man sized target, the head is the only viable target and even then the game makes it one step harder to hit targets with this misalignment.
So no, I can't recommend this game. The old Flash Game flows better and plays better. It's a tough sell. I want to like this game but I really can't recommend this paid game when the free old one is in several ways better. Just can't.

throw back to stick wars on New grounds. this is a modern version of that game it plays the same with some added features like the infinite zombie mode. you can pretty much do everything you could do before but with that 3D flair to it this time. cutscenes are actually pretty good and not too long but long enough to get the point across. the Ai voices are kinda weird but not terrible. the only thing i don't like is the format of the miners in this game, before miners sat at the back of the army sometimes they would reach out further for more resources but mostly in the back. Now the miners sit off to the side making them much more vulnerable, but atleast that's the same for the enemy. the game is simple, well made and a little getting use to for the new controls but controlling the heroes is really fun being able to dodge roll block as an added mechanic. upgrades are still there and customizations are a thing too which is cool because it's earnable currency. definitly a step up from the previous games not sure if these are the same developers but the good.👍(just looked into it and no it's not the same developers so uh oh sounds like a potential lawsuit but idk maybe they got some insiders that worked on stick wars)
