Fantastic game with a lot of potential. Probably inspired by Shapezio, but the addition of the "shift" mechanic really adds a whole new dimension to the game which fundamentally changes the gameplay and adds a huge challenge to creating the shape goals. In Shapez, you have just a few basic shapes and the corner pieces to work with, which results in relatively few permutations of possible final shapes. In Jigsaw Industry, there are non-standard starter shapes, and you can "shift" the pieces across a "segment" within the shape area (I think basically a 4x4 grid area). This significantly increases the possible end shapes by many orders or magnitude. Umm...my maths may be wrong here, but I think there are 1e34 possible unique shapes that can be made (!!!!) A very basic example: you can cut a diamond in half, shift it along 1 segment horizontally, rotate it, shift it again and rotate back so it is now also shifted 1 segment vertically, cut in half again, and end up with a tiny triangle which is off-centre. Then stitch that to a few other altered and shifted shapes and end up with something that looks like a simple drawing.
One of the level goals is the number "1", and another is a flippin' swan!
. Also, because of the way "lasering" 2 shapes together works, you can end up with some weird cut offs that can be used. Initially I didn't realise how fundamentally different this game is from Shapez, so I am glad I stuck with it. I know this is early access, but there are many suggestions/comments/feedback. The main one is there REALLY needs to be some sort of tutorial or guide. At least more detailed descriptions for the machines, and examples of how it can be used. Some things are not explained which is a bit confusing. It took me a long time to experiment to understand how everything works. I will post some more suggestions/comments in the "discussions" section. Keep developing and don't give up on this game please :)
