Holy Hades with a hardshell! Even for someone who was never really into TMNT like me, this game is a lot of fun and is really well done. Fun combat, decent amount of different enemies that require different strategy to deal with, and decent upgrade path that will require many runs to complete. Bit of a difficulty spike in the fourth level, but after figuring that out (Astral Light shell!) progress was pretty smooth. Hoping for another DLC that will wrap up some of the story that seem unresolved.

I was able to pick this up at a discounted price. As a fan of TMNT all throughout my childhood and a big Hades fan, I was excited for what this game could offer! While it's not as deep as Hades it's a suitable knock-off of the rogue-like and I got more than enough entertainment value out of the game, 40+ hours of gameplay to unlock all the achievements! The story doesn't have a great 'ending' per se and leaves it open to further expansions, which I hope the developer and publisher explore. The mythos of TMNT is vast and there is a lot of source material for them to pull from! Each of the turtles and Casey use different weapons and styles, akin to Hade's weapon choices, and the ability to change some talents via artifacts midway through each level was great. It allowed you to subtly influence the build you want. Story wise it does not pull from any previous retellings of lore and instead establishes it own and each character has a distinct personality from the others. All in all, the game isn't as deep as Hades, but it's definitely pulled much of the key gameplay from it game that if you liked Hades, like TMNT, you'll like TMNT: Splintered Fate. If you're just jumping in, some key playstyles to explore: Raphael + Flames (prioritizing Critical enhancements) Mikey + Ooze (prioritize on-hit enhancements) Donatello + Ultrom (prioritize Special enhancements) Leonardo + Ninja (prioritize Master Strike/Final Strike/Dash). Casey + Water (focus on final strike for big one hit smashes). Grab a few friends and enjoy the game!

This game is a ton of fun! The movement and attacks feel super smooth—almost as polished as Hades, which is saying a lot. The skill system is great, with each turtle having unique traits that mix with the main elements in cool ways, making every run feel different. There’s a lot of build variety, and finding crazy combos with the turtle abilities keeps things exciting. Visually, the game looks great, and the design really pulls you in. The animations, especially for skills and boss fights, are top-notch—everything feels fluid and powerful, making battles even more satisfying. One thing I’d love to see is an option to activate modifiers before the run starts instead of picking them up along the way. It would make the challenge ramp up faster instead of feeling too easy after upgrading everything. Right now, once you power up enough, enemies don’t really keep up, so the difficulty takes a hit. But overall, this game is a blast, with tons of variety, fun mechanics, and great execution. Definitely worth checking out if you’re into roguelikes!

Had a bit of fun playing this with my game group, but it's really just Mediocre Hades With Ninja Turtles. You're paying for the license, and while there's some novelty in that, Splintered Fate just doesn't feel good in the hands. I guess it's possible to play this for a VERY long time to make the most of its roguelike features, but I was fine tapping out after my first successful Shredder encounter about six hours in.

I completed this game in 17 hours on the Steam Deck, and its performance was flawless. There were no frame rate drops or crashes, just a smooth and uninterrupted experience. The gameplay is highly engaging, offering an addictive challenge that justifies its price. If you appreciate TMNT and rogue-likes, this title is absolutely worth getting.

Sewer jokes aren't my favorite but they're a solid number two. This is easily my new favorite TMNT game. I love the new rogue lite features and I love seeing what new build I end up with in each run. The art style is fantastic and the boss fights are tons of fun. If you enjoy the turtles games then you will almost certainly love the crap out of this one!
