It's Thronefall style base building and defense with some RPG mechanics. You choose a hero, who starts with one class ability and can gain up to two more from from the other classes as you level up. The abilities you choose then let you benefit from the perks of the classes they belong to, which you unlock by building more buildings and units that share that class type. You also have faction perks that you get by choosing between Human/Orc/Elf style buildings, towers, and troops as you go. So there's a lot of potential depth with different class and faction perk combinations. Overall an enjoyable game. Worth the price of admission, even if there's not a sale on. Note for Linux users: I'm on Linux Mint 21.3 and playing fine using Proton 9.0-4 and the 'PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%' launch option.

It's a fun game but the enemies swarm, many troop types lack swarm handling. So you gotta brute force it with many grunts. Swarm vs swarm.
