Crack It Up! is a surprisingly addictive game that hits all the right notes for anyone who loves collecting, trading, and a bit of incremental strategy. Chill game perfect to relax opening packs while listening to music.

On the simplistic side and I wish there was some quality of life improvements (like an auto sell feature, even if its something you had to work towards). But I enjoyed the game a lot for what it is. As someone who really only enjoys the collecting element of card battlers and deckbuidlers, this scratched that achievement itch without having to worry about meta and the like.

I really enjoy collecting and trading cards. The vintage computer makes the experience more inmersive like I am still an 8 year old and I am completing my album. Feels like the ratatouille critic scene.

This game is very good! I am currently streaming the game at the time of writing this, so if you don't mind spoilers and want to the see the game in its entirety come on by. My name on twitch is TheDefiantHydra. So for the review, the cards are so well detailed. From the absolutely beautiful, crystal clear photos. To the shiny texture that looks like it pops out at you on the Golds, and the foil look of the silvers. This game is honestly way better than i thought it would be, and is definitely getting a thumbs up from me. I love sitting here ripping the packs and just listening to music. I have had a blast opening pack and i'm not even through half the game yet. 10/10 would strongly recommend, amazing job to the team that created this game! Would love to one day give some game codes away for this game.

Posted day of / day after release. Here's the thing. I REALLY want to like this game. I like the idea of it, and there is tons of rooms for execution and basically infinite growth. However, calling it a V1 release is stretching it as far as it can go. The core mechanic is present, but the actual act of opening the packs is very unsatisfying. The top of the pack just kind of pops off and there's no exciting reveal to the cards. No notification that a card is new to you, no sparkly effect when you pull something special or rare, no value displayed to get you losing your mind over pulling something truly rare. The card selling mechanic (the only way to get money to purchase more packs) is really rough around the edges. No ability to sell multiple cards in one click, so if you have lots to sell get ready to hear the same brutal cash register noise over and over. I spend more time scrolling through the card selling menu past all the singles I'm keeping to complete my collection to look for the few duplicates so I can CHACHING than I do crackin' packs. I think with some serious work done, this could be a super awesome product, and the options for DLC and more packs is basically limitless. But it needs more work badly before it's near that point. I'll be watching it closely. I WANT to love this and fall deep into an addition hole.
