Surprisingly interesting mechanic in this one. Keeps you constantly on your toes. Worth it for the price.

Wow... Short but very intense.
Because the price was cheap, I thought it might be just an average scary game, but when I played it... My heart pounded like when I first encountered the invisible monster in Biohazard. It's not a cheap jump scare, but of quite high quality.
The progression changes gradually, and there are different phases. Also, you don't have to start from the beginning when you die, so it's less exhausting.
When you think you're nearing the end, the game ends cleanly, which is satisfying! :)
---- SPOILER INCLUDED BELOW ----
Advantages of the game:
1. The pace of the game is appropriate.
2. It's not easy, but it’s not excessively difficult either, while still being scary.
3. You don't start from the beginning if you die.
4. The SCP concept makes the bizarre story more familiar.
If a sequel comes out?
It would be great to have a more elaborate story base with more phases. If they keep developing it like this, it might feel like Resident Evil.

Eternal delivers a captivating survival horror experience with unique mechanics and intense gameplay. From the start, I was hooked. The game keeps you on edge, offering an adrenaline rush that’s truly impressive.
What sets this game apart are the memorable jump scares and clever design elements. The mannequin concept adds complexity and terror, while the superb sound effects create an immersive atmosphere. Every turn and door brings palpable dread.
In sum, Eternal is a short but highly intense horror game that I wholeheartedly recommend. It offers high-quality scares and a unique experience that leaves a lasting impression. I’m eagerly looking forward to future releases from this talented dev team!

It totally took me by surprise in the best way possible.
I wasn't expecting much, considering the price tag. But, It turned out to be way more fun than I thought it'd be.
And get this, it didn't just end quickly like I thought it might. Nope, it kept me entertained for way longer than I anticipated.
Oh, and the sound? Seriously impressive. It totally added to the whole vibe of the game.
And the mannequin, it freaked me out a bit, but in a good way. It added this whole extra level of tension and excitement.
Overall, this game is a real gem. It's proof that you don't have to spend big bucks to have a seriously good time gaming.

The game itself is very good! I would recommend it, especially since there is an ever present shortage of quality survival horror games. Definitely can be scary to some. A few (and I do mean few) flaws in my opinion:
- The game doesn't tell you what causes your sanity to go drop. It appears to just do that without purpose - perhaps it's time based? Based on proximity to enemies? Would be nice to let the player know.
- Mannequins can block doors, trapping you in a room. This basically kills the player on the spot. All you can do then is wait or quit. This happened to me :(
- I understand the idea behind not having some ui that shows how much ammo is left in the weapon, but why can you not check how much ammo you have in your gun? Maybe by pressing and holding the reload button, the player "inspects" the gun, showing how much is left in the mag. This could be accomplished without animating - maybe try temporarily despawning the gun or hiding it from view, shaking the camera, and playing sound effects to give the player the idea of that happening? I don't want to suggest something that's unfeasible to implement, but I think this could be achieved without needing to spend 5 hours making extensive animations.
Also, wouldn't a Magnum sort of weapon be cool?!! Some kind of powerful gun that one shots anything and pierces through enemies but has exceedingly rare ammo. Just throwing that out there :)
But anyway yeah. Pretty good game, just that those flaws might make the game very annoying to some.
Now let me tell you something. I beat the game, and man that plot twist was cool. It also explains that opening. The story in general was so interesting, with that SCP vibe it had going on. Really neat how you took basic zombies and made them so unique!
Also, the fact that resources are dropped from slain enemies is awesome. It allows for an infinite game loop. I love this game quite a lot!

This game is bad. It straight up steals any "world building" from SCP, but not in a way that makes sense. The only real SCP influence is the mannequin monster that follows you, which is more of an annoyance then anything else. Other than that there is a note that just relabels the classifications within the SCP universe as different categories. It seems like all of the assets in this game were just ripped from the unity store. The zombies in the game just aimlessly run at you and start to spaz out while standing still, and the axe you're given, the only reliable weapon you have throughout the game, has the same range of a push tack, and feels as though a push tack would do more damage.
Overall 1/10 I do not recommend.

Was Eternal worth $2.99?...
Yes. I would even go as far as to say I would pay up to $5.00 for the game. I judged the game early on and criticized the developer in my head, but was quickly put in my place once zombies started running at me and I died my first death.
Game Length...
It took me 2.4 hours to beat. It's very short. I would compare it to one chapter in any well known horror game you've played.
What was good about it?
I got some good jump scares, even one from my dog getting up lol. Good amount of reading to do, but not too much reading. Sound effects were above average. Cool weapons. Mannequin concept added to the game's uniqueness and made it more frustrating / fun. Solving the code at the end was very clever Harkee! If you can't figure it out.. (SPOILER ALERT AT VERY BOTTOM)
What was bad about it?
I honestly can't say it was bad. At first I was picking it apart for the $2.99 price until I started getting chased by zombies and had to figure out how to escape the asylum.
What can be done better?
These are not complaints, but suggestions for the next game.
1. Doors should open both ways.
2. Had to repeatedly click to get the axe to swing. Sometimes it wouldn't swing.
3. I would swing on wood or metal and get the wood hit sound.
4. One of the zombies flailing it's arms in one spot was more funny than scary.
5. Not being able to run while reloading bothered me.
6. Character's run animation looked funny.
7. Box taking too long to disappear, so I had to wait to see what was inside.
8. Wanted more of an impact animation from my bullets. Didn't see much blood coming out or anything.
9. Obviously a longer game with more environmental objects. It's very plain even though I know it's an asylum. (I'm being completely understanding as I think this is Harkee's first game on Steam.)
10. I couldn't kill the mannequin. Not sure how this could potentially make sense because it's such a cool add-on. Maybe it should've been metal or spiritual instead of a solid object.
Would I play another game from this developer?
100%. You guys are on the right track. I hope you read my suggestions and if they're met, I would gladly pay $59.99 for your next game.
(SPOILER - Remember how many times you died.)

It would've been a good experience had the dev decided not to constantly respawn enemies everywhere. Renders the shooting aspect of the game pointless if enemies just pop back up immediately.
