I love the boxed game but the online game freezes frequently and is very frustrating.

TL:DR... Don't even waste the $6 to use it to learn.
Despite reading the reviews, I decided to try to make this game work for me as I just tried it in person and wanted to practice some more.
First, I never found an option to read the EULA in English. Maybe I missed it, but it certainly wasn't anywhere I could see.
Second, the auto-calculations at the end of the game were so far off it was crazy. It made all four of my Winter scores negative and I ended up with -17 as a final score, despite showing me the right numbers all along.
Third, As others noted, this is not a game you can play with others, But you're not playing against a computer... You aren't playing against ANYONE- it's just a score at the end. The computer will place goblins and the like on your board, but there is no "opposing player" for you to return the favor. It's potentially a good way to play to learn the mechanics of each season, but even then, you're not guaranteed to learn anything if the math is off.
The bad math is bad enough, but throw in a horrible layout, narrow window of play, speedy calculations that don't have a pause so you can learn, etc, etc...
