Put simply, the parts of the game that take place inside the game are horrendous. Loud background noise that drowns out most other noises, horrible shooting, virtually non-existent enemy AI, and an overall ugliness to it.
However, the parts of the game that take place outside the place are at the very least a pretty cool spectacle. Flying the plane/helicopter is also kinda interesting at first, but the fun wears off fairly quickly.
A really awesome idea wasted on a easily below average game.
2/10 would get in a bundle again.

this game is shit and not worth the money, holy fucking shit... but if you are going to buy it:
to 100% this shit ass fucking game you might as well get the deluxe edition because it's too much of a grind otherwise
there's an easy bug you can find for the 60 minutes one where the zombies get stuck and the 10000 sky kills is a just playing flight of survival over and over until you get the achievement, but the others should be easy to get
still this is an absolute shitshow of the game, only get it if you're buying the bundle with the 2 necrovision games

Shangri-La studios does not exist any more the company was dissolved 2021. In Reality it was a single UK developer whose real name was Reiss Wort and who outsourced his project to a hand full of other developers, animators and graphic artists.
The original concept seems somewhat fashioned/inspired from the movie ‘Snakes on a plane’ (2006), evidence of this is found in unused audio files which gives clear homage to quotes from the above movie.
There are 6 modes, 5 of which require you to tackle oncoming hordes of zombies. Most of them reward trophies for lasting at least 10 waves and there is two more pressing achievements which require you to last 1 hr and 30 minutes in survival and to kill 10,000 zombies all up. In truth, this is still not too difficult to accomplish, as standing on the RHS of the stairwell will grant you easy success with the time achievement and gunning them on the stairwell as you play survival horde 10 times will also take care of the long winded 10,000 zombie kill achievement. These achievements don’t unlock further unique game experience, they simply tediously pad game-play to what might originally amount to 1 hr of entertainment value.
Personally I feel the game got more negative feedback than it truly deserved. One reason alone being that it had some unique concepts to what is honestly a saturated market by now. It aimed for a ‘snakes on a plane’ vibe using zombies instead of snakes and that’s exactly the carnage I got. The amount of particle systems with sparks from the weapons, rain droplets, wind and cloud evidence added nicely to the atmosphere. The one music track is fitting and the cheesy free sound gimmicks also blended to this tongue in cheek/wink play style.
Really, the only unfavourable and somewhat scamming content relates more to the accompanying dlc which involves a Santa NPC which simply harbours the 4 perks of the other characters and really should just be a free in game unlock-able. Then there is the art book which consists of 13 pages of art which is free anyway if you take the time to find the artist on Facebook and examine his timeline and should also have been a free Easter egg in game maybe in a free unlock-able room in the plane showcasing all the art and thanking the consumer and finally there is a helicopter dlc, which adds 3 textures to an additional bare-bone helicopter template, hardly praiseworthy dlc content. It’s just a sleazy attempt to pry more money out of the consumer, thankfully none of the dlc is needed to unlock the achievements.
One mode I thought was definitely missing was an objective based wave survival. One that required you to do certain tasks as you combat the progressive wave system. Also suitable fmv, rewarding animations or concluding end screen backgrounds felt disappointingly absent from this, which would have been extra rewarding if present, but only slightly delivered in one mode where your treated briefly to animation of flying through a big city and touching down on an airport tarmac.
In homage to ‘Snakes on a Plane’, "Stuff Randy and his High Score."

Zombies on a Plane is a rather mediocre game with a silly premise. From the title alone, you can find out what this game is all about: there's zombies, you're on a plane, and you need to kill zombies, trying to survive for as long as possible. There's also another mode in which you pilot the plane, with zombies on the outside trying to bring it down.
Now, at this point, you might ask, "wait, if it's a plane that's currently flying, surely there must be a limit of zombies to kill?", and the answer would be no. Zombies just keep spawning, and as the wave mode shows, the seem to fall from the sky and enter the plane; they aren't actually the passengers turned zombies, but rather sky zombies that really seem to have it for this plane. Honestly, given the ridiculousness of that, the devs should've fully embraced it and made it an over the top game that didn't take itself seriously, but they didn't. In the end, the result is, as I said mediocre.
I guess I could talk about the gameplay a bit: it's pretty much a shooter; it can be played in first or third person, and as you kill zombies, you rack up points and unlock weapons. You can also perform combos, by chaining kills, which give you small boosts or traps to set up. Still, the zombie AI leaves a lot to be desired, and it's actually rather easy to exploit it in order to survive for as long as you wish. There's also no real level variety, as you'll be inside a plane. The flight mode, on the other hand, could also have been interesting, but again, the result ends up being mediocre. You can fly one of two types of planes, with three different paint jobs for each, and you need to turn around to drop and kill zombies. There's also a helicopter (with its three paint jobs) as a DLC.
So yeah, honestly, I can't really recommend this game. Only reason I played it was because I learned it was relatively easy to get all achievements, and even then, the grind for 10,000 kills was annoying.

The title is correct. I got Zombies on a plane, a range of weapons with simple mechanics and well not much else. I was in my I'll buy that for a dollar moods during a steam sale and for that entry fee I got what I expected. Not great.
Can't poo on my experience although YMMV. I'll give it a lazy thumb.

Not worth $19. Fully developed game or not. It's an Arcade shooter that has the playability of a few attempts, then you're bored. I'm just glad i can't get ripped off anymore with Steam refunds available.

Zombies on a Plane.
Yes title says it all later all.
.... alright....
This game offers 2 main modes the first being FPS based where you have to either protect points upon a plane from waves of Zombie. But not Zombies done like before these zombies can keep going without limbs but also they can go without a head. Causing the issue of making all zombie feel bullet sponges and taking the sensation of mowing down zombies through "skill" in case makes the game feel like how quickly can you press the shoot button.
The game offers 3 characters straight off (with at least one hidden behind DLC?? yeah day one dlc??) but there is no different between the characters and gun unlocking is done during each game based upon how many points you get. Again taking out any decision making for the gamer again as you cant even pick character progression in anyway.
The guns feel floating, the zombies don't react well to being shot meaning loss of immersion again.
2 levels, 2 game types, all the same as not much can is done with the level design, progression is only learboard based.
2nd game is based around flying a plane as you spin it to shake off the Zombies, but as zombie can stay attached when upside down it just seems to boil down to spin around as much as possible and hope again.
ALL MISS not even worth keeping on an eye on, move on people.

Zombies on a Plane is about... well zombies on a plane. It's two games in one, a hoarde survival and a plane flying game. The higher you score in survival, the more weapons you unlock. In survival, you'll fight wave after wave of zombies (that I guess parachute their way in) some that can be destroyed quite easily, others that take loads of damage and some that even after they have not legs, arms, or head can still damage you! Then there are those pesky buggers that clip through the floor and some are even dogs! Yes folks, who knows how they are getting onboard, but who cares, they're after you!
The flying mode is quirky, yet hillarious at the same time. You are now in control of the plane and must shake off those pesky zombies from destroying parts of your plane. This is quite simple to do, fly it into the ocean! There are 3 skins of planes to choose from as well so you can enjoy crashing all of them.
The animations are bad, it runs at a solid 60 frames per second, there's no lag, the graphics are sub-par. It's stupid, it's ugly, there's nothing to do, and it's overpriced by $15. Recomened only for those that have an absolute fetish for Z-Rated games, (Z-rated, below B-Movie standards, far below.)

IT'S ZOMBIES. ON A PLANE.
Like, seriously, guys, what did you even expect?
The bad reviews don't lie. This game is not good. It's ugly, the performance is crappy, the topic is completely hideous, the achievements are random and overall, I cannot tell any specific reason for you to play it.
But why do you do it then? You can not for real tell me that a game titled "Zombies on a Plane" could be anything groundbreaking. It's ment to be trash, but you won't understand it. If you take it with the humour the programers must have had during the development progress, this becomes actually quite enjoyable for a few hours.
Did they anywhere, at any point, ever do some wrong advertising? I don't think so. It's your own fault to be disappointed, as a human should be able to relate to what such a game has to offer.
And it really is nothing more then they say: Shoot endless hordes of Zombies. On a plane. Over and out.
Sure, the price may be quite questionable, but nobod wants you to buy it. You will be really happy without this game, but on the other hand, if you buy it, stop complaining it's not worth it.
Of course it is not!

It should be one of those games that is so ridiculously stupid and terrible that it's great, but it's not. It's just terrible.
