This game shows how my mom explains me the places I would end up with if I often wander around the world on my own no matter how old I am. Umbrellas saves lives, always carry one.

Dreaming Sarah is a short little platformer inspired by Yume Nikki, about a girl who wakes up in a strange place. I like surreal indie games of this kind, but this one ended up being a lot less interesting than I initially anticipated. It has a surprising amount of different areas to explore, even if some of them don't look particularly great. They have this surreal vibe, and it can be fun to traverse and solve little puzzles in them, but most don't have many interesting elements outside of some creepy events here and there. A few of them, notably the haunted house and the first forest, were still pretty cool. The soundtrack is good, as expected from a game like this. Though music tracks started playing on top of each other halfway through, and this persisted until the end, which was a bummer. All and all, it was an okay 2 hours. It wasn't bad, but I sadly don't have anything special to say about this game. Feels like it has the minimum amount of stuff required to be one of those surreal indie games, and not much more.
