This game is horrible. Graphics are bad, rotation is bad, and moving is bad, some mechanics dont even work and why are the trees paper??!?

Red Trees Rail Co presents a compelling premise for a VR horror game. Set in a small town, players take on the role of a steam train conductor working the night shift. While the game offers a lot for its price, there is room for more content at the time of writing. However, the promise of upcoming updates is exciting. The Pros: Atmosphere: Despite its low-poly aesthetic, the game's atmosphere is solid. The dark, unknown expanse outside the locomotive creates an unnerving feeling of unease. Train Operation: The mechanics of operating the train add an engaging element of micro-management. Although some aspects, like the thermometer and oil, are challenging to grasp initially, they contribute to the immersive experience. Sound Design: The sound design is pleasing, with tactile sounds enhancing the experience. The Cons: Content for Price: Given the $5 price tag, the roughly 38-minute play session feels repetitive. More clarity and variety in the nighttime journey would enhance the experience. Horror Elements: The game could lean more into its horror theme. Adding subtle elements like the eyes of deer lurking in the dark or the sound of twigs snapping outside the train would heighten the tension. Introducing mechanics that force the player to venture into the dark to repair the engine could add more scares beyond the few present. VR Controls: The VR controls, particularly on the Index, need refinement. Movement wasn't intuitive at first, leading to teleportation errors. Enhancing the tutorial and providing clearer visual cues for train operations would improve the user experience. Overall, I was pleased with my experience and enjoyed a few scares. Red Trees Rail Co has a trainload of potential, and I look forward to its future developments! :)

This is a fun 2D and 3D Train horror mystery. Be careful not to pass up picking up passengers because you can get fired from your job here. Do a good job and you get paid. There is a small learning curve to figuring out how to operate the train but it is fun. I do enjoy this Train mystery. Anyway, ALL ABOARD.

Keeping in mind that this is a $5 game, I enjoyed my time with it. Game is relatively simple, though at times I forgot what different levers and elements on the train actually did. My only real "issue", if it can be called that, is that I only really found 2 scary moments through my time with the game. Watching the trailer I saw many different scenarios I simply never encountered. Not sure if
The Window
somehow was supposed to lead to more dramatic content if I kept fiddling around, but simply driving the train and making all stops always resulted in 0 scares beyond the initial one and a kind of boring experience overall. I will definitely check this out again though when / if there's more content added.
