Lovely short game. Wish it was longer and had a bit more to it, but totally worth the 7$. Boss makes a dollar, I make a dime. That's why I play the entirety of Proximate, on company time.

Absolutely fantastic. The interspersal of internet humor with the eldritch horrors of the deep is perfect. Gameplay is different in a good way. The lack of vision and increasing difficulty of navigation really hightens your senses and has you intently listening for things that may or may not be there. Overall a very charming game thhat has me still thinking about it months after playing it. Highly highly recommend if you're in the mood for a game thats brief but immersive.

Lidar-concept games can be interesting, though not for everyone. The sound design here is cool (as it should be). However, there’s little explanation of what’s going on, and I don’t mean in a 'figure it out yourself' horror-game way. It’s just confusing, not in a 'blind rat in a maze' sense, but more like an underdeveloped concept. The story tries to explore capitalism’s effects and moral degradation, but it comes off a bit cringy, in my opinion, with lazy writing. It feels forced for the entire lab crew to communicate only via text in such a small facility. There could be lore reasons for this, but none are given, it just serves the lidar gameplay’s narrative. Fine for a short concept, I guess. I didn’t see the LGBT tag before buying this, so be aware of that. There’s nothing particularly interesting about the topic (it felt a bit like deviant art queer language), nor about the alleged eldritch monster, the 'hole' thing, or why it’s underwater. It’s fine to leave questions unanswered, and I get that you’re meant to feel like a cog in the machine, but overall, it feels like wasted potential, and its a shame bc it is an interesting concept and a strong UI and sound design...

"Don't pretend you're a different person now just because the blood on your hands is starting to smell." A short game that shows the true essence of eldritch horror and goes to show that visuals are almost never the most important thing in interactive storytelling. It could be longer and I wish it displayed it's horror aspects more, but the moments where it did genuinely made my heart skip a beat. I also love the jabs it throws at Agile/Scrum project management frameworks and the overall absurdity of modern engineering practices

a great little game. its got a unique main mechanic that stays interesting as the game goes on making you really learn it and lean on it as other navigational tools disappear. i usually dont like games that tell their story through foudn text logs but this game did it right and does tell a multifaceted and interesting story. this game isnt long but its definitely worth 8$. i love it. thank you to the creator for making this little gem

Fun little game, not a ton of depth to it, but landed it's emotional beats for me. More a teaser of what a world with these systems could look like than a full rollercoaster ride, but interesting enough to be worth playing.

A wonderful balance of horror, comedy and story, each with their own merits in my experience The whole idea of not being able to see and relying on your other senses really amplify the horror aspect of the game. I can maybe see it getting a bit stale and too cumbersome, but honestly the relatively succinct length of the game doesn't let that happen. The audio work, as it should be in the lack of visuals, is amazing. The start says headphones are recommended and jesus that is an understatement. The story is wonderful. It has wonderful interjections of funny bits, a few running gags but there are hearty long logs that display so much emotion and mood. If you like games like SOMA or any scary underwater game for the matter of fact, I'd say there is a good chance you'd like this game. ESPECAILLY SOMA PLAYERS!!!

Delightful. Unexpectedly hits home with the gayness transness and queerness of it all.
