You can tell this game is a love letter to fandom cultures and fanwork creators! It's cute, thoughtful and funny, i wasn't expecting anything specific but this is absolutely adorable and packed with stuff to do. The art is very nice, the story and characters pretty entertaining.
And if you have OCs you're obsessed with, it's a GREAT outlet to manifest your hyperfixation and scratch an itch. It's delightful to see your own characters being bring to life in such a creative way (bonus point for all the AUs ideas it can give) I'm playing this with my friend who share OCs with me, and we're having so much fun with it.
Plus as a fanfic writer who stopped publishing my works to the internet several years ago to just write for myself and a couple close friends, this game kinda makes me want to go back to it.
Of course it's not perfect, there's a bit of jank here and there, and it lacks a bit of polishing in its current state. Creating the characters can be tricky, frustrating and counter-intuitive, and there's some bugs here and there. (but nothing game breaking really)
Still, it's rare nowadays to find medias that don't make fun of fujoshi/fudanshi culture, this game is really refreshing in that way.

This game is probably the most accurate experience to being a fandom creator ever (minus the irl friend group that lives near you and the instant success). It is entertaining as hell and the content it generates is so accurate it's scary.
You can tell a lot of love went into the writing of the characters and events. You can even tell the love and knowledge the creators and writers have for fandom itself. And while the constant generation of images does take a toll on the efficiency and makes starting up the game a thing that requires patience, it's all worth it. The game itself runs fine enough, even with that slow start.
All and all, this game feels like a love letter to fandom and weeb culture. Embrace the cringe

I loved this game so much!!!! I sped ran it in two days without intending to do so simply because I was sucked into it. I stayed up for a whole 24 hours simply because I couldn't get my mind off it~
Yet, if I have one true critique, it'd be that I WAS NEVER GIVEN AN OPTION TO KISS CORA!!! WAAAAAH

With 51 hours from partially playing through different stages of EA twice and completing the main story of v1.0 from a 2-3 day binge, yeah I guess I do recommend this game.
- I do think the store page is slightly misleading. Go into the game with the context that it's half VN with an established MC, and half fandom creation sim with the gameplay loop of earning inspiration/money to write your blorbo fanfics and fund your blorbo merch creation.
- I don't think I would be into the game as much if it weren't for the fact that it gives you the freedom to import your own customizations if you wish (i.e. I could export the doll base, modify the parts as needed, and import them back in to setup during blorbo creation. You can see the game's workshop for examples of these. You can also import your own images for merch and fanfic templates). This, coupled with the limited sticker mechanic (like Sticky Business) just makes it so fun to make your blorbo merch. I've spent hours playing around in the system to make those, and I'm really happy with the stuff that I've made and pleased that the game allows you to export the images so you can make your own blorbo merch for your own use.
- I really enjoy the story and characters. It feels incredibly authentic and heartfelt with situations that feels like it comes from experience in participating in fandom stuff. I'll be thinking of this for days to come when there's days where my passion or feelings are down when creating for my actual fandom.
- Honestly, the translation is fine because it's not broken. It's still readable and understandable - it's silly and charming, like friends telling stories to each other casually (but if you prefer very polished writing, then yes the expectation has to be lowered). There's formatting issues for EN to be sure where the last word in the line can get chopped up into the next line, but hopefully it gets fixed soon.
It's scuffed. But also charming, and definately has heart and passion in it for a theme that I don't even know there will be another similar game like it. It feels like an incredibly unique game made by people who understand the culture, and being able to just have pure silly fun with your blorbos is such a bonus in this day and age of toxicity. I hope the devs continue working on polishing and fixing the game because it definately needs it, because it's such a unique game that helps remind people on the pure nature of passion.

Barely played this game before I refunded it. The English translation is almost incomprehensible, and the introduction to the game is frustrating and poorly designed. It holds your hand as if you've never seen a character creation screen before, forcing you to be walked through it, but not once does it stop and explain that you're not even creating YOUR character, but rather two of the "characters" that you will be shipping.

This is a game brimming with love and passion and many flaws.
It's clear that this is an indie game, and likely one of the developers' first games. Please approach the game with properly tempered expectations; do not expect the game to be flawless. Be warned that you are purchasing a game that can be extremely scuffed at times.
The biggest issue is the translation—it's serviceable but very clunky. Part of the gameplay is writing fanfiction, and the game generates pre-written fanfics with name replacements. This is a cute and fun concept, but this is where the English localization issues are most glaring. There are frequent line breaks in the middle of words that make the text difficult to read, and most of the writing feels quite unnatural for English speakers. Not nonsensical, but very very annoying to read. Main story text and other minor texts also have their share of translation issues. They are generally understandable if strangely worded.
Fan communities across the world have their own incredibly specific terminology, so I don't blame the developers for not being able to get everything completely right, but I do hope they refine the translation and find people who are able to better translate certain terms and concepts. There are some Chinese fandom specific terms used that are completely unfamiliar to English fan culture.
Aside from translation and localization issues, I've also encountered a few bugs and general annoyances, but I've noticed the developers have been very quickly putting out fixes, so I hope they will be resolved soon. Some issues I've had are with text boxes being places they aren't supposed to be, untranslated text, and decorations sometimes disappearing. The character creator is also a little frustrating to use. I had trouble with colors randomly changing, as well as the clothing/accessory overlay randomly moving.
And one more critique (though this is more a matter of personal preference), the game can be unfocused and unclear. There is much to do and it's almost immediately overwhelming with how much it throws at you. It feels like you're jumping all over the place. That's not to say the variety isn't appreciated, but perhaps some of these game systems could be introduced a little later and with better tutorials.
In spite of the poor localization and overall jank, I've had a fair bit of fun with the game so far. I like seeing the merch items created from my little characters, the AUs, and I enjoy decorating my room and ita bags. The fanfics are silly and the general premise of the main story is charming.
I've yet to actually finish the main story, but from what I've already seen, it's heartwarming and relatable. Our protagonist worries about her writing not being good enough (something that haunts every writer, that endless pursuit of perfection). She struggles to feel comfortable expressing herself, and has little to no friends. Eventually, she comes out of her shell a little and connects with new people through their shared interest in fandom and is encouraged by her newfound friend to publish her work for the sake of her own enjoyment. She's able to find a sense of community through being a fan.
To get a little personal, I've written fanfiction before I even knew that "fanfiction" was a thing. I've been a fic reader and writer for a good part of my life and the main character and story resonated with me, and I think many like me will feel similarly. The themes of community and camaraderie, finding the confidence to create for your own passion's sake, and the ability to express your interests without shame are universal and especially familiar.
In the end, I'm hesitant to give the game a positive rating due to all the issues present, but I honestly like the game. You can draw your own conclusions about whether or not this game is worth your time; just be informed that it's scuffed as hell, but lovely. At least in my experience, I've never encountered a game focused on the fun experiences of being a fan like this. Because of that, and the pure, unabashed sincerity of the game, I will continue to enjoy my time playing it and I hope it continues to improve. Despite all its flaws (of which there are many, don't get me wrong), at heart, it's a love letter to fandom culture and community, and a very genuine game.

yeeeah like a lot of people say the english translation is nooot very good
i think their "solution" was to basically just say "if you don't like it turn it off" which is... weird for such a writing/narrative focused game
*but!* if you're willing to put up with it, i do think this game is super fun so far! reeeally self-indulgent in the best possible way

pros:
- a really fun simulation game! it scratches an itch i didnt even know i had and i know i will be spending hours with this game despite the issues i have with it.
- you can make your favorite characters kiss. 10/10.
- there is an online gallery so if you dont want to bother with the character creation, you can just borrow somebody elses character.
- demonstrates a really good understanding of fan culture!
- SO MANY FEATURES.
cons:
- tbh, the translation is not as bad as people say it is. however, there is a fair amount of usage of chinese fandom slang, most notable of which being “cp” (which, after a google search that i was TERRIFIED to make, revealed that it’s basically the same as otp). this specific slang was very jarring and led to me frantically going through reviews to make sure i didnt accidentally buy something very very odd.
- as others have mentioned, the filtering system is not great and the nsfw content really hits you out of nowhere (ex: a fanfic idea titled “walking outside” is actually smut but you dont learn that until you have committed to the fic. realistic to irl fandom? yes! but not great for a videogame)
- the character customization is very expansive…for characters who do not have textured hair. there are no textured hair options and due to the fact that you cannot change the lineart color, any colors darker than grey will heavily contrast with the blue lineart.
tldr: the game is not properly tagged for explicit content on steam, a lack of proper cultural translation can feel jarring to those unfamiliar with certain terms, and the character customization is only expansive when you want to make pale characters with straight hair. but it did just release and it shows a lot of promise.
though i will continue to play this game, i would not recommend anybody buy it until these issues are ironed out.

Unfortunately, I've had to request a refund for this game. I was really excited to play it! It's a super adorable game, and it's a love letter to fangirls and fandom culture as a whole.
As a fanfic author myself, this game made me feel seen! But also...as a fanfic author myself, I really really really love words and grammar and syntax and all that cool language stuff, and the poor English translation really took me out of it. I tried to ignore it at first, but it quickly got to a point where it really started breaking my immersion. I get it, English isn't my first language either, but I can't deny that it makes the game feel a lot less polished, especially in a visual novel like this with lots of text and a huge focus on the story.
Now, the game is in Early Access right now, so I do have high hopes for its future! I don't hate the game despite my negative review. I love the concept, and I really want to see it improve! Who knows? Maybe I'll come back to this game one day and enjoy it a lot more. I hope that I can, honestly :)
