This is an unfinished piece of garbage, full of bugs, glitches and problems

Not recommend. I own the original and did notice a difference between this and the original. I sad can't play this game. I watch the opening cut scene in year 1-4 and it freeze and crashes withouterrornotic. I never was able to even get to game play. Apparently alot of people have similar problems at random points. They need a patch bad in this game.

First time playing a Lego game, and it's not what I expected. I'm a chronic over-thinker, so even the very beginning levels dragged for me as I tried to figure out puzzles that apparently needed skills found later in the game — something I only found out after looking up the puzzle solutions, having not realized I could return to previously played levels and areas. (The game did tell me that later, though not soon enough.) Additionally, I'd often be looking for a solution twenty layers deep when it was only two layers shallow, if that. It was not enjoyable. If I was a kid, though, I do think this would have been fun. But for an adult, used to harder games? No. Just no. Don't do this to yourself. You're too smart for it. The little details were pretty funny, I have to admit. They almost made me not request a refund. But twenty bucks is twenty bucks (I got it on sale), and this game is not worth that much to me. Maybe one day I'll give it another shot, but it'd have to be on a really steep discount. So, why am I recommending it if I got it refunded? Because I know some people will love it, even if I don't. Buy If: ✓ You Love Harry Potter ✓ Lego Humor Is Best Humor ✓ Simple Puzzles Are Your Thing ✓ You Like A More Console-Ish Game Style ✓ You Love Taking The Time To Re-Investigate E V E R Y T H I N G ... Or you just want to watch all the funny cutscenes and get through everything fast, forget the achievements and completionism. That works, too. And if it's on sale. No better way to buy a game, really.

I played this game on switch and series x is it worth upgrading if you have the original games i say it is really up to you to decide that question but other than that i would play through the collection again.

Everything goes smoothly until a cutscene needs to play. I'm just going to pretend the system really can't handle the idea of Ron and Hermione smooching and Ron being quidditch captain.

I love a simulation of being a student at Hogwarts, while the HP comes to life. This is a decent remaster of the two games. Nice gameplay, mechanic, and story.

This was so fun! I played years 1-4 back in the day on the wii but I never completed it or played years 5-7, so this was both nostalgic and new (excpet for the story ofc). I had planned to just play through the story but I was having so much fun that I decided to 100% it and get all the achievements. The game runs great on the steam deck. However, I did get noticeable fps drops in the Hogwarts Grounds area in years 5-7.

Tried to want to play this game, but game keeps crashing at the exact same spots over and over, I cant make it past story 1 or story 5 in each of the franchises. I tried to play this game for too long because I wanted to play it, now I cant even get a refund and now im stuck with a dud of a game.

IF you already own the original releases, do not buy this, it is literally just the two separate games with a single combined installation... No hint of crossover. From the looks of web searching I think supposedly there was something added to 5-7 that wasn't in the original releases but still this is pretty minimal effort.

Fore-note: this is the two separate games with a launcher included, as I suspected, not one singular, massive game, for which I was hoping, but for about half the asking price, definitely worth it, if only for the nostalgia now being combined with achievements! Near as I can tell, those saying the game crashes Year 1 are more likely having hardware trouble, or greater software issues than the game itself. I'm using a fairly mundane laptop, and it's working fine for me, minus a bit more lag than is present when playing the original copies. Honestly, with a 50% sale, totally worth it. I got just past the Snape Cape Incerate level in Year 1 in just under 90 minutes to make sure about the crashes, and then played through enough of Year 5 to reach Hogwarts within the 2 hour mark for a refund if needed, but the game works fine, besides that aforementioned lag and being a wee bit over-priced for ahaving a completely unchanged compilation of code.
