Many flaws but still great

Has the worst movement implementation I've seen in any VR game. No smooth locomotion which is a real shame. It's teleport only, but the real deal breaker is the game will teleport you in a way where you'll be facing in some nonsensical random 360 direction resulting in disorientation. It also teleports you way too close to the puzzle, so you have to physically try and stand back away from it. The most ridiculous implementation I've ever seen. Tragic.

I already knew I like the game itself, because I played the flat version. This VR version is well done, no technical issues or bugs for me so far (just completed chapter 3). It looks amazing, the sounds and atmosphere are great and the controls are changed so they're intuitive and immersive for playing in VR. Mechanical puzzles feel so satisfying for me on a normal screen already, but even better in VR. (Playing on Valve Index)

They paid attention to detail. I spend almost an hour playing with rain droplets. The puzzles are challenging but the hints even if out if you are feeling lazy or honestly stuck. Only one gimpy puzzle, the animal spin over the door but everything else was wonderful. I think it even has replay value.

Will lead off with the only real criticism I have: where it puts you to interact with puzzles. Like I've seen others call out the movement is a little wonky and definitely caused me some motion sickness, but the real issue was that it often puts you WAY too close to the puzzle. If you are in a large space where you can move around it's not too bad, but if you have to play stationary or have a small space to work in it can make some puzzles incredibly difficult to interact with. A much more minor criticism is that the pointy finger interactions are often pretty janky (though this may be due to latency from playing over Air Link?) and so it can be a little frustrating to turn dials and such. Grab mechanics work a lot better since it is tied to a button. Those out of the way, as a fan of the series, this has been fun to play. I like the little touches like the special vision controls being actual things you interact with on your gloves, even if they are a bit finicky. Being able to really feel immersed in the environment is really cool too. Over all a recommend if you're a fan of the series or of abstract puzzle games in general and want one to play in VR.

I’m giving it a no due the terrible immersion breaking controls. Graphics, sound and puzzles are good but always having to recenter is very annoying. Smooth turning required both thumbsticks to move at the same time and sometimes ends up in a constinuous turn without stick imput. Pointing to a movement node works every other time which is annoying. Key items disappear and require a restart to get back, breaking the immersion further.

Thank you for a fun and sometimes frustrating game. (in good way) :P Looking forward to more games from you. Hopefully again VR. Greetings from Slovakia :P
