Exhibition of Speed is the odd case of a game which does hard things well and easy things poorly. The physics engine is clearly the star of the show, and for good reason; even just dragging your vehicle around with the cursor is plenty of fun. However, the game needs a lot of polish. *A lot.* I experienced frequent crashes with the native linux build which were *mostly* remedied by running proton instead. The menus felt sluggish compared to the world view- perhaps some sort of input delay? Unfortunately, my short play session involved little other than confusion. The node-based approach is not unlike a game engine's editor- this is fine, but the quality of life isn't there. For example, the best way to delete a node (at least as far as I can tell) is to click it and press your delete key; there is no delete button on the graphical element. I also could not find a settings menu, which didn't help me find the bind for using a follow cam if it exists at all. I know I have a lot of negative things to say, but the reason I'm bothering to say them is because this game seems like it's developing quickly and could easily become a great experience. For the asking price I really can't complain, especially given the highly technical interface is on full display in the screenshots.
