This survivors-style roguelike has a fun sense of humor and an eventful gameplay loop. I like that there is a sense of progression from finishing each level and a goal to work toward in completing a new recipe. There is a bit of a roguelite element in being able to carry over some earned money into an options menu where you can buy new bags for cosmetic purposes, that adds to the longevity. The types of enemies that show up change every so often and unique mini-boss types appear as you level up or spend a lot of time in a level. There are some unexpected visual effects and status effects that add randomness to each run. Fun to play and a good amount of content for the price.

It's one of those games that somehow manages to pull you in and wrap its hands around you with no intention of letting you go. You go in for one shopping trip, and find yourself losing track of time as you hit folks with your handbag and also do a bit of shopping or delivering stuff from one stall to another. And then, you move into the cooking. It's simple, but also the most satisfying part of the game. Cooking stuff will result in stat increases which make further runs start at a bit better of a position. And, really it's just a fun time to jump in and play when you want to take your mind off of what's going on in life. I suppose you could say it is also a good idea factory for dinner plans. And, yeah if you're in the US I think you can say it captures the price of eggs pretty well. I know that probably isn't funny for most of us, because eggs are friggin crazy high priced. But, it did make me chuckle a bit. And I don't laugh nearly as much as I wish I did. But I did today. Just a little. But it counts.
