the only real criticism I can level against this game for the price point it's at ($3, though I got it for half that) is that it's short even for the price point- one hour! that's not much. it could use a free expansion to double that or something, but I know the developer has already moved on to other games. as for the game itself, it's what I'd call the missing link between wolfenstein 3D and blake stone. it's got interactable NPCs and consequently a very small amount of story (among other things), so it's more advanced than wolf3D, but not quite as much as blake stone. it's actually very very close in design style to wolfenstein 3D, but with more open levels, even including one or two outdoor ones. it's got the same progression of weapons with a few additions (autopistol > shotgun > machinegun > rocket launcher) although the weapons are all projectile based, even for the enemies, which is a nice change of pace. the enemies are also similar, progressing into larger enemies that take more hits and fire faster, although the bulk of the later half is just melee enemies that you can kill pretty easily with the knife. the secrets are wallhumpy giving very little indication where most of them are. I found a grand total of two across my playthrough just looking for things that were naturally different. I certainly enjoyed this game more than the other DOSMAN games game I played, reaper, but I will only really recommend this even with the low price point if you're hankering for some pre-doom era gameplay and have exhausted every other better similar game. it's not bad at all, it's just kinda not standout in any way.
