Had to change my review from "yes" to "no." Lots of adorable bot designs, it's fairly easy to grasp, not much of a learning curve. Suitable for all ages, no gore or graphic content but has some interestingly mature story beats that hint at a more complex world. Some issues I have with it currently: 1. Cosmetics come with buffs/bonuses. It's not a major dealbreaker, but it is an irritation. I want to rock one bot skin I vibe with, but to get the buffs I have to equip another. Not to mention when you get a new skin, even if you choose to ignore it, there's still a notification you can't clear unless you go into the bot's menu, look at the skin, then leave again. I said don't equip, why are you trying to push it? 2. Character cosmetics are frequently obtained, but they're just recolors of the last five you got. There's very little color or feature variety when it comes to player characters as a baseline. 3. Progression slows the further along you go. The grind to get materials to level up both your boat and your bots is absurd. Enemies become frustrating and irritating rather than a unique, fun challenge, namely because they're either so close together you get ganged up on or because the scaling seems off. Why on earth are my level 20, fully upgraded bots, getting dunked on by enemies 10 levels lower? 4. The gameplay loop lacks substance. It's the same battles, same bots. Same grind, over and over, just reskinned. 5. Minor glitches become more obvious the further you go. Not being able to load into maps/random freezing (have had to exit/stop the game and reload to clear), abilities not hitting, getting pushed/glitching over rocks when your bots are moved by abilities... "Supers" not hitting enemies because of a pixel difference after being gently pushed by a rock. 6. Gadgets barely assist you, they take too long to activate (bombardment is the most annoying, why bother taking it when you have to get close enough for it to do anything, and by the time you get within range the enemies are on you before you get it off). You can proc bonuses/stack in a sense (like increased bot damage) but it doesn't feel worth the effort. 7. The bot AI is poor. Your bots will stand in a pool of acid while attacking when they could just. Side-step it, and be fine. They won't target the bots with the lowest health to make life easier. It's all proximity-based. They also don't even try to avoid enemy player effects. I think it would be nice if I could control them further since the player's abilities really need to be reworked anyway. 8. The maps are annoying to traverse. You will wonder why you can't go between these two rocks. I think it may be to force you into encounters. It suffers from pokemon logic where every five steps is a battle, and while you can take "party members" who can battle for you, maintaining their bots, leveling them up... It's again more effort than the payoff when you really would just rather be able to swap out the designs you want (you can't take multiples of a bot). Especially since there's so little customization or interactivity, so it feels... Soulless? Barebones, if that makes sense. 9. No player housing, no decoration or in-game events to change up the areas you visit (you can get random quizes and fight opportunities, but that doesn't do much to make the maps feel lived-in), no side tasks to distract you from the gameplay loop, which is grind until you get materials, level up, fight endlessly against the same reskinned enemies (mentioned earlier). You can fish, but that gets boring fast, especially since it's one of the only main ways to get consistent coin gains. 10. The camera control is awful. Every so often there are "zones" on the map and suddenly I can't see my character, enemies, or whatever is in front of me/or I am suddenly walking backwards because the camera rotates or zooms in and changes the direction I have to go. 11. The mines, combined with the sheer number of lower-level enemies charging at you is obnoxious. If I am level 24, level 1 enemies should NOT be wasting my time coming at me unless I engage them. Not to mention the snakes, scorpions, ect. that are nearly unavoidable and will ding your health just for being near them. Your sprint is also incredibly slow, and runs out fast. It's such a chore to get from one end of the map to another, even if you're NOT in the "dungeon" (danger zone) areas. It has a LOT of charm, and the devs work really hard. I know many features may be impossible precisely because they have mobile and PC versions, and limited resources (?). It has a lot of potential. Will try to edit if things change. I had to change it from "yes" to "no" because of the irritating enemy gangups and lack of balance (parched sea + "heroic" danger zones you must complete to finish story content - enemy scaling here is god-awful and leveling up your bots and boat takes an absurd amount of effort and time).

Botworld is an okay autobattling creature collector. It gets grindy pretty quickly given its conversion from a mobile game, but it's interesting for a bit. Wait for a sale.
