A First Experience With An Anomaly Detection Game Playing my first anomaly game was an interesting experience that took a little time to get into, but once I got the hang of it, I enjoyed it thoroughly and it went fast to finish the game. The gameplay is straightforward yet engaging: you’re placed in the same room repeatedly, tasked with spotting subtle differences each time helping you choosing the right door. It took me about two hours to finish the game and get all the achievements. The game has a slightly horror/scary vibe, but it doesn’t rely on jump scares, which I appreciated. Instead, the tension comes from eerie details (sounds, room effects, voices, objects)—especially the mannequins that watch you with unblinking gazes, their heads and eyes always tracking your movements. It’s a clever use of atmosphere that adds to the game’s psychological horror. One note of caution: my girlfriend, who played a bit, experienced some motion sickness from the lighting effect. The rooms are often dark and the focused lighting can feel intense against the darker surroundings, so be aware of this if you’re prone to motion sensitivity. Overall, this indie title was a pleasant surprise. It’s a simple yet satisfying experience that kept me engaged. For the low price, it’s a nice first attempt that I’d recommend for anyone looking to try out the anomaly genre.
