You shoot more nazi troops than the red army for a couple of hours in corridors with exploding barrels and open areas with barely any cover. But you have the shield power up that remedies the issue of being in the open. The window decoration enemies and explosions out of nowhere were still chipping the enjoyment out of this game. The mp40 was more accurate than the other guns and the machineguns didn't deal enough damage to be worth using them. The only other guns of any use was the sniper rifle and panzerfaust. The graphics were good for its time, but the gameplay is not as good. It's very average in every respect but worth its price.

Good game with a lot of similarities to other popular first-person shooters from the early 2000s. I would give it a solid 7.5 out of 10.

Ubersoldier is bad. It is gloriously bad. This review is negative but I actively encourage you to see this one through, it only took me less than 4 hours to beat. The gameplay is ridiculously substandard and everything is barely holding together at the seams, aiming is jank and precision weapons are just not viable, automatic weapons miss their targets consistently, melee "combat" can be generously described as 2 helium balloons softly crashing into each other, explosives either destroy the universe or gently tickle everyone in a 5cm radius... The AI will routinely do some of the stupidest things I have ever seen "AI" do, from chucking grenades point blank at closing doors, driving a motorbike and power sliding to just immediately stop dead still and explode for no reason to firing a rocket into the side of a door (and wiping his entire squad), the AI is a constant source of comedy. The game has no end of technical problems and has one of the most bizarre ways to set resolution I have ever seen, you actually have to work out an equation to change resolution in the INI file, this is not a joke it stores the resolution as the answer of an equation that isn't specified anywhere. I just stuck to 720p in the end because 1080p alone causes massive issues. The story is incredibly bad and jumps around all over, bettering this is the fact that it is clumsily delivered through one of the worst English dubs I have even experienced, every character acts like they either forgot their lines mid rehearsal or were completely drunk, main characters fall over dead mid mission for no reason then randomly come back because they were actually "captured", there's an awkward plot about romance that shoehorns itself in so painfully you'd think it was a fistula... And the presentation? This game has some of the weirdest disparities in character models I have ever seen, there are generic WW2 Nazis and freedom fighters mixed in with with sci-fi styled Tech Nazis and occasionally ridiculously designed caricatures that belong in a bad comic book, yet the game also goes for a realistic design? It's absurd looking. All of it comes together to create one of the best worst games ever made, a complete circus start to finish and a barrel of laughs. Do yourself a favour and get a few good laughs out of this one.
